When I was a teenager, I once asked my father:" why can't
Singapore have Chief of Armed Force, instead of Chief of Defence
Force?"
Guess what his reply, he told me." if Singapore have the title
"Chief of Armed Force " , then that means Singapore has force meant
for invasion of other countries. If , title CDF , then it is to
signal that SAf is purely to defend Singapore , not invasion of
other states."
So, why can't Singapore Armed Force be converted to Singapore
Defence Force ???
