epImetheus SG it seems to me that in order to become a WO, one of the skills is to 'arrow' people to do part of their job for them. for no reason, i was chosen to select some men to do community work at a home on weekends. now, everyone avoids me due to my appointment.... . actually, i thought that i could just serve NS without doing any extra work & leave.
skeujin SG well ye method of selection cld hav been wrng. u cld have 1st told yr men tt u dnt wana take up their time but u have to due to orders from above. thn u cld hav tried askg for volunteers. if end up no one or not enuf people volnteers, put all names into a lucky draw. n to gain the respect of yr men, u yrslf must also attend this event.
Moxie SG NSF WO? Do you mean a sergeant-major appointment instead? In any case, you should be able to futhur delegate-down the chain of command. Even for a CSM or BSM, he could arrow the daily duty DI to assemble the men as needed. So, in the line companies it's usually the said DI whom the men most try to take cover from.
LazerLordz SG Yeah, go through it with your men, show that you are also willing to do the tasks with them. That will gain you more respect. And how are you a WO in your NSF term?Or are you a stand-in CSM?
nismoS132 SG i think he meant that he was arrowed by this Grandmaster in Archery WO to arrow other men to do work. from my experience, it's the 1-2-3 bars that do the most arrowing. most warrants i know actually enjoy doing their work themselves.
epImetheus SG actually, i'm only just a lowly 3SG who wants to get through it wihtout doing any extra work / holding any other appointments.
epImetheus SG i think the officers in my unit are more concerned with their own personal entertainment.
