Just my opinion, but i find ex- boy scouts much better prepared
and trained to handle the rigors of army life than ex-ncc cadets,
esp when outfield. Perhaps its got to do with the training the
scouts receive. On the other hand, it didn't appear to me that
ex-ncc pple performed any better than pple from other ECAs.
Anyway previous ECA is not impt for ocs selection lah, i got
friends who were from library, drama and stuff. In fact, only had 1
ncc guy in my platoon, and he wasn't even like CLT or SSG during
sec school NCC. People are assessed based on their KAQ (knowledge,
abilities and qualities) rather than their interests (ECA).
