Doing POI duty at Jurong Island.....
This 2SG was the VICOM for an LPV (did I get that right?). To the
uninitiated, LPV is a jeep with GPMG mounted at the back....
Anyway, he was bored and decided to fool around.... He asked the
driver to let him take over the wheel even though he had no
licence. Both the driver and the MG gunner agreed.
The 2SG then accelerated the LPV to 70kmh..... with predictable
results.
The LPV crashed by the side of the road.
No wounded personnel, but severely wounded egos.
The driver and gunner got two weeks' RP (if I'm not wrong) for
abetting the 2SG.
The 2SG himself got 40 days' DB.
Pretty dumb way to go to DB, methinks.
