I am currently PES BP but wanted to sign on with airforce/spf and they only 1 ppl with PES A/B. After my obese bmt i am confident that i can be upgraded to PES B anyway to upgrade faster. Coz from wat i noe,i must go thru my unit MO then maybe go down to cmpb, which will take some time i think.

I thought all PES BP personnel are considered PES B after they pass out from BMT?I was OOCed from Obese BMT and yet I became PES B too initially before my current PES status.

This is wat my BMT OC said to us also, but when I call up cmpb and my unit chief clerk they both say that I am permanently PES BP. Sad

FWIW I think the internal SOP is to convene a Medical Board. It's certainly so for downgrading cases, though in your case you're uniquely asking to be upgraded. But if you plan to sign on anyway, they'll probably conduct another medical checkup for you - if only for FFI purposes.

Not sure who's the authority now, if the MCC has apparently decentralized things. Ask your MO as a 1st step. If it's not under his jurisdiction, he'll know who to send your dockett to.

why don't u request a FFI from your unit medical centre to get the PES B status u want so much. Wink

I tink the moment you pass yr BMT you will get PES B liao wise if you fail yr BMT or OOT you will remain BP till you pass BMT..

mm, your pes status should automatically upgraded to Pes B upon completion of BMT. There are a few cases in the morbidly obese company, where they are downgraded to C1 as their BMI is still very high at the end of BMT.

As for upgrading of Pes, it can only be done by the Medical Board. So go back to your Medical Centre and see your MO.

Sure or not..those severly obese batch is almost impossible for them to reach a acceptably pes of around 30?
I dun think they will downgrade..because they still can end up as rifleman and other combat vocations?

Sierra Wing used to have one guy from PES BP. Commissioned also big sized. He commissioned with a BMI of 33 if i am not wrong Cool

I'm talking bout the obese of the obese la....... anyway, Morbid obese company alot managed to reduce their BMI to under 30.....mm, at least for platoon 3 & 4 during my time in BMT.......
and i don't think BMI of 30 will become rifleman. Quite rare ah seriously......
As for the fella with BMI of 33, mm, he's gotta be fit right? 33 is very high for BMI.....and is damn unhealthy if its due to fats
