ahh...ok 7SIB then...so let me rewrite...is it correct to say that anyone under 7SIB wears the capbadge even other arms than guards?... off topic even more....

My Tekong OO did said before that for combatants u will get more than those non combatants

For commandos u will get $300 more while guards will get $200 more as for infantry and other combat units u will get $100 more

that is the combat allowance. havent heard that it differs between arms though.

capbadge is onli for 3rd guards(and 6th SIB rite?).....

anywaes....infantry..guards...all the same...use infantry tactics in the end...

in a war...
Guards are used to provide first strike capabilities for the SAF..
they need infantry too to take over an objective with superior numbers...

Infantry need guards too for backup in case the line is breached as guardsmen are highly mobile... or they need extra troops in certain places fast..

so it is a tit for tat kind of relationship.....

Infantry and Guards are never perfect...but work hand in hand to be a perfect warmachine.....one having superior numbers and whacking an enemy like cracking a nut with a hammer....and one having better training and performing the first strike to an enemy..

and yes...when all things screws up...they'll call the artillery....where unlike snipers...artillery are...'One shot, Many kills'

I've lost touch with the allowance system now, after they revamped it.

If Guardsmen get $200 more, so Infantrymen get $100 more? And what about Armour and other formations?

My Tekong OO told me that other than commandos ($300 more) and guards ($200 more), other combat arms like infantry, armour, combat engineers etc gets $100 more.

As for me, I am from logistic sides i.e non combat so I will never get combat allowance. Neutral

anyway if it is 1, then how much more does an NSF commando receive?

and able to validate your statement? what is your source? cos from what i know there are no differences. i may be wrong.

I don't think Guards are used to take over an objective with superior numbers, but are used as vanguards to pave the way for the armour and other main forces to roll in and deal with objectives with superior numbers. Mr. Green
