SnowFlag SG

You can go NS after ‘O’ level.

gnoik SG

Ya the moment u reach 16 1/2 u can enlist liao..but who will be crazy to enlist so early?I mean the mentality is still unmatured..

Parka SG

Do you need a matured mentality to go NS??

LazerLordz SG

Think it violates the UN Convention on The Rights Of The Child.Singapore didn’t ratify it, knowing that it might pose some problems in these grey areas.

kwlee SG

go in after poly or a's la,

after 'o's

still not mature enuff...

and den, u so young, other people so old....

f50_vapor SG

onli got o level cert.. den also cant go OCS or wad… in the end also do those simple vocations?

pika1987 SG

enlist wif an o'level cert? the most u can get is LCP i tink....

so a'level or diploma got betta prospects...

i have a fren hu is 22 years old, in my tutorial group in poly now.. year 1..
a few years back, he drop out of his diploma course to transfer to another course when he was year 2... he was successful in doing so, but have to serve NS first... he ended up as a driver, LCP.... btw he is a Team Singapore Bowler... Wink

SnowFlag SG

Not sure about now, but the reasons why some ppl opt to go NS a few years back is:

They serve only 2 years instead of 2 1/2 years.
They can all those non-strenguous vocations.
They can proceed directly to U after JC.

probably ended up in SAFSA, and didn't do too much driving actually.

nismoS132 SG

my course had a guy drop out poly, so consider O level only.
they say he will still skip lcp to become a cpl, though whether or not will go sgt not very sure.

tliqun SG

so young go inside later let the people inside scold a bit can’t take it go sucide. better wait until you mature enough first…

martin_lim85 SG

go in after your poly. if u go after your “O”, people think u like small kid among them.

martin_lim85 SG

what is SAFSA stand from?

Moxie SG

I presume the minimum age for early enlistment is 16.5 years old. That’s the policy for NS registration (& the pre-enlistment checkup), & it’s doubtful how anyone can get drafted before he’s even called up to officially register as a conscript.
