Which kind of NSF are eligible for JCC?

NSFs hardly get to go for such courses, ESPECIALLY when you already have one confidence course.

Gordonator SG

Are only Infantry OCTs eligible for the course? how do they select them for the course? Question

do NSF specialists and NCOs have any chance at all to be selected for the course?

wuming78 SG

infantry, guards and commando OCTs go for JCC as part of their OCC.

as for the other NSFs, priority is not given to them, so more often than not, they will not get to go. this is especially true since their NSF duration has been shortened.

anyway ANYONE can go for JCC, as long as he/she obtains a silver for IPPT.

Gordonator SG

thans for the info. Razz i didn't know one must get silver for IPPT to be selected for JCC.

deathscythe99 SG

Most of the CDOs and Guards trainees go JCC mah…

Gordonator SG

this brings me to another doubt. i see most of the BMTC PCs don't have JCC badge on their no.4. they are under infantry afterall right? i remember my PC mentioning his training in brunei.

wuming78 SG

they should be. possible reasons: they didnt sew the badge on, they didnt pass the course, or they didnt go for it at all.

why not ask them?

deathscythe99 SG

The JCC badge is for those who have successfully completed the course.

Of course, it's possible for cadets to go through the training, but YET not attain the badge due to mitigating factors such as pts, injury, etc.

So going through the Brunei thing is for experience. To successfully complete it earns you the JCC Badge Mr. Green

Gordonator SG

well, i'll love to see my PC again, but i don't think that's possible since i believed he must have ORD already.

i really find it strange cos the PCs in tekong seldom have JCC badge on them. or at least in my company. even my OC don't have one. maybe they didn't sew it on, i don't know.

so just to check with u all. during your BMT, do your PC wear a JCC badge?

deathscythe99 SG

Mine didnt too...

But just a side-note: Usu the better cadets (usu those who performed well, like complete JCC etc) get to go to the units Mr. Green

Gordonator SG

that's makes sense. Razz

ok, last question, normally how's the passing rate for JCC?

deathscythe99 SG

Woah! Good question man!

Okay, I'm not infantry trained per say, but for my batch of friends who did JCC, there was a 50% pass...In fact, they changed the format of JCC recently, to reduce the JCC passing rate. And it was quite low since it was introduced *what* 3 years ago?

Yeap...

Too bad....I should have stayed on in Infantry Mr. Green

Gordonator SG

thanks for all your answers, deathscythe99. appreciated it. Wink

deathscythe99 SG

No prob man....Glad I could help, since I was in it...now....ORD looms Mr. Green

wuming78 SG

the passing rate is normally quite high.

wuming78 SG

yeap!

but i don't think you had a choice. Wink

deathscythe99 SG

Nope.... Sad But guess with my current post, I'm taking on 2 different roles, all in one. lolx. Coupled with the fact that there are just so little junior officers in the unit, pretty much the work comes down to us. lolx.

Well, regarding the JCC issue, it WAS high, till recent years. Though we would definitely require stats to prove Wink

nooki SG

all my officers had jcc
e same goes in my coy whn i was posted bac as a sgt instr

deathscythe99 SG

Well when I replied that I din not mean that none of the PCs in BMTC had JCC badge....I was just referring to the common fact....

nooki SG

erm.... i dun mean u are in wrong
i knw wat i mean....

CKtalon SG

The latest 54/03 OCC had a very high percentage of OCTs getting the JCC badge..was highlighted out in one of Commander OCS' monthly speeches..
Think only 1 or 2 didn't get it..think we can wait for Master-_- to give a more concrete proof Razz

hmm..JCC instructors also have the badge(DUH Razz ) if they were posted there Smile
All of my BMT PCs had JCC badges..my OC (who was a JCC instructor) naturally had it..
