alternate routes to ocs?

my boyfriend is unable to get a silver for ippt due to a injury.. he’s really disappointed. are there any alternative routes to ocs?

like where is he now - bmtc?
and why the revelation that without a silver award, he won't qualify for ocs?
assuming the 2nd statement is true, how far is he from silver? is he unfit? or generally fit but just have problems with specific stations?

You will not even to get into SISPEC if you fail IPPT, needless to say about OCS

err.. if his condition is preventing him from performing normally, he should be downgraded, at least temporarily, and not be taking ippt and pushing for advanced schools! was it an overlook on the part of the MOs?

however if he has recovered, but is suffering now cos he has not had sufficient time to train up, then well, that's what he needs - more training.

if it is recognised that he will not face difficulties in passing his ippt if given the time to train, he might be given a conditional pass for bmt, and may even be allowed to proceed to advanced schools.

injured just before he enlisted. detected in bmt… was on status for 2 mths. im not sure if it was overlooked..

but he is your boyfriend... and you are asking about going to ocs for him...

well the long and short of it is, there are alternative routes to ocs, i.e. via sispec. but the question then is if he is even eligible for sispec.

Anyway, since he was on status for 2mths, it's weird that he's not OOC. Immediate, I mean, cos he missed 2mths of training! But, that would depend also on the lessons he missed (if never miss outfield, range etc, shld be ok)

And if he POPs, the chances of gg OCS is slim, definitely.

Oh just a side-question, is he really so garang and damn onz to go into OCS? Because I get the feeling he IS. Mr. Green

may not be your fault. you may not know what you do not know. mabbe hes not telling you everything just so as not to make you worry.

anyway, yes there are alternative routes to ocs as mentioned, but his medical condition should be priority, if not for himself, then for his parents, yourself, his friends, his peers, the people he needs to work with, and the SAF.

u did mention he did 7 chin-ups right? if there's a IPPT retest, why not ask him to try again? afterall, it's only 1 more chin-up. Wink
