eng-wah ong SG

can we only indent vegeteian food only during 1st n 15th day of a lunar month? thxs

wuming78 SG

i seriously doubt. usually it’s either you take vegetarian food all the way, or you don’t. but i stand to be corrected.

lim li hao matthew SG

no. you cannot be vege only on certain days

erijazz SG

Why not?

Then again, its depends on the person who is doing the S.M.A.R.T. indent are willing to take the trouble to do it for you i.e. your coy 2IC or CSM. If its on a regular basis, I dun think is much or a problem, hey! you dun try it you'll nv know rite? At the end, its the person doing the indent will give you the answeer not ppl from sgForums... Wink

Unless you do it by left, i.e. you just go and consume the vegetarian food on the 1st and the 15th.Just don't get caught yeah. Very Happy

dibilo SG

erijazz SG

then when outfield trg got canteen in your habor base/conc area????? Shocked

and your canteen selling vegeterian food????

Gordonator SG

in my unit, even if u go to the vegetarian counter to eat, they also won't know whether u are a true vegetarian or not. Wink

If your camp is still using drop chips system, then this problem will be very easy to settle -- Just drop the veggie chips and eat during the 1st and 15th day of a lunar month.

Otherwise you may try to talk to your messing warrant or ration state clerk about it.....

Having worked in a cookhouse before, one can see that it is not that difficuit for the ration state clerk to make that arrangement.

ditzy SG

Just put chip when you go eat, or if you really want to be proper, go ka chow your CQ. Laughing

well. from time to time, and i believe, more often than not nowadays, especially for recruits, one gets served fresh ration even during outfield training.

erijazz SG

Obviously u do not understand the meaning of vegeterian food and not vegetables dishes, so no point carry on the conversation further...

For your info outfield trg do serve fresh ration in case you nv go outfield trg before... and even if combat ration, yes there are vegeterian combat ration, isnt we are toking abt indent of vegeterian food/combat ration if the thread poster wanna consume on the 1st day and 15th day of lunar calendar? These 2 days will be always in camp and definately will not fall on the day trg outfield?

Gordonator SG

not in my case. when i was a recruit, no fresh ration was given to us during field camp. unless u count the white rice they gave to us once.

erijazz SG

BMT is not the only time that has outfield trg…

wuming78 SG

oh .. actually white rice does count as fresh ration. Mr. Green anyway im surprised! i have heard of recruits having gone through bmt without having tasted combat ration at all, hence my supposition.

Gordonator SG

gone through bmt without having tasted combat ration~!!? Shocked

which company so walfare? don't tell me that time heng heng whole BTMC short of combat rations. Laughing

YES you can indent vegetarian only for 1st and 15th of Lunar Month.

But you need a lot of reminding to do.

My recruit asked me about it, i had to do it for him because you cannot denied request pertaining to religious belief. (this person was practising a relaxed form of buddhism)

First is to write a letter stating the name and particulars of the recruit, write a few copies. 1 goes to CQ, the other goes to Coordinator of the contractor.

The recruit has to play a part as to remind us that those dates are approaching, so he tells me, i tell CQ, CQ tells the contractor. this preferbly 24 hours before the date.

IF the 1st and 15th falls during outfield and combat rations are to be consumed. Two ways can be done about this, Remind CQ that there would be a need for vege ration on one day for one person. CQ will then indent from ALB accordingly. The easier way is to out-ration vegetarian food on that day if OC is not particular about recruit having fresh ration for a day.
