Will I be posted to other unit after recourse

I have been downgraded to PES c9l2 perm due to a knee operation and my vocation now is signal storeman. My recourse is due next year on april and will end on june.

So will i posted to other unit after my BMT recourse or will i stay with my current unit and present vocation and do i need to attend reservist after i ORD. Thanks a lot for all your help and replies. Question

i really don't know much about the current system, but all i know is that most PES C people still have to come back for reservice.

No more re-vocational training, if you've already been formally trained in your present one.

Same unit? Depends on needs, I guess. Don't see why your current outfit shouldn't get 1st shot at retaining your services. It'll help if your Signal Officer or Specialist fight for you.

Yes, you'll do reservist. The best lobang you can hope for is to be out onto a holding list - i.e. no unit - & maybe they'll forget you. Much depends on the timing of your ORD: if it's together with fellow combat-unit personnel, you'll likely join their reservist roster. If it's an earlier date or if you're with a higher-up outfit (or a training school), then it's a matter of demand & supply. Could end up a newbie joining a lao chiao unit in the middle of their cycle, or a long-forgotten lao peng suddenly posted to a newly-ORD'd unit years from now.

only for pes b recoursee, they will be posted to other units, for pes e/c, after recourse, will RTU (return to unit) according to the directive

This is what I know.If you have undergone formal vocational training and posted to a unit after such training, you will go back to that unit after your Recourse BMT.There is no point in switching you around.The worst that might happen, which is very unlikely is that you might go to another unit with your current vocation , IF your parent unit for some strange reason whatsoever does not want you back and have requested to post you out.Relax...

As for reservist duty, you and I PES C9L2 people are in some sort of a grey area.I'm also worried whether my ICT intensity will be greater because of me being a Specialist.This I need more information, but I have been told that I would be RTU to my unit for NSmen duty.Certain vocations help to ensure you will never go to another unit whereas others can get you posted all over the place.Disruptees are in the same boat as us too.

I still have not gone for my signal storeman course and i hope they can arrange it for me asap to avoid being posted to another unit.

As for reservist duty, you and I PES C9L2 people are in some sort of a grey area.

I dunno about nowadays but there was no grey area with the C9L2 personnel in my reservist arty unit. They inprocessed along with the main body, then was basically confined to camp when the unit moved out to the field. Most of them just stayed in the bunks, reporting sporadically to a rear-echelon NCO or the BN office to show that they haven't sneaked elsewhere.

Very switched-off life for them during ICTs, though I've heard 2nd-hand that the cooks also moved out sometimes (for a field-kitchen delpoyment) & the S1 cell too (for a field-administrative tent). Even the armourers got bored & volunteered to travel with the MT-line repair vehicle ....

I understand that some of the vocational tasks have been outsourced to the civilian side now, but not all. As long as your skills are still operationally useful & needed, they'll call you back - even if you end up as "lobo" 80% of the time.

You're an Armamant Spec, aren't you? No idea, esp. with NCOs. The men theselves could be converted to PDF troopers; I've heard of a lot of non-combat NSFs (PTIs, MPs, ammo storemen. et al.) who made the switch after ORD.

I've even got a couple of ex-ammo storemen who became Arty RPs with my old reservist outfit. (Busy duties, but not as siong as the uninitiated assumes.) Lemme know if I'm wrong; the worst you'll be is being put on a holding list.

Reservist vocation can wait till ORD but whereter i get posted out to another unit after recourse BMT is the most important thing. If i kena posted out then i will have to start from ‘xin jiao’ then to ‘lao jiao’. If you guys know what i mean…..

Your PES is perm right?

So even you go for recourse you are still perm PES C right? Then no need to worry, ususally they would not post ppl out just for BMT recourse for PES C ppl.

Besides, you already with the unit for sometime already. It makes not sense if you are post out after the recourse.

FYI: My unit last time got ppl same scenario as yours who are PES A/B, drop out of BMT due to injury, but got a perm PES C, go for BMT recourse and come back do back the same vocation. Kind of like on-course kind of thing.

BUT, (ha, there is always a "but" Mr. Green ), if your PES is upgraded, then not only you might change unit, might also change in vocation.

I heard of some Armt Techs who were LCP and below were converted to base RPs.Most of my seniors are still coming back as Armt Specs so I hope nothing changes too greatly.
