hi, heard from my ffriends tthat nowadays, we would have to make it to SISPEC first and then to OCS rather than the old one where we either go SISPEC or OCS seperately.

should be go sispec liao, do a very very good job, then ya OC or CO recommend u to be officer then believable.....

i tink regulars more chance or than NSF..

i have seen sergeants going for OCS...

only the top 5% gets to go OCS after BSLC. 1 of my friends is a good example.

well...just to share you guys my story.
i crossed over from BSLC (29th) to OCS.... during the interviews, i've told my PC,OC and CO dat i am not interested in crossing over. moreover, my IPPT results at that time was a pass only (not silver or gold) and my SOC timing was 10mins30s..
but in the end, i still crossed over... went to alpha wing in ocs and subquently to school of armour.

i am not a white horse.
basically b4 you cross over, there will be numerous interviews. and in each of the interviews, i've expressed that i am not interested as i feel that i am not physically and mentally able to cope.

i went to service term II. basically back to section training.
in OCS i saw how bua gan some of the cadets are. but how cadets think and specs think are really diff. specs are better at "doing/executing" rather than "planning"

Do i agree with the fact that u r sent to OCS, even though you have repeated voice your objection during interview?

Few of my Nco friends voice their objection during OCS Interview and did not get posted to OCS subsequently. Despite being PL/Coy best trainee...

there are some of my friends who are like me, reject crossing over to ocs (but still corss over).
than in ocs, they voice it out to the wing commander (oc) and subsequently got OOCed...
i did not voice out. just endure.

To the uninformed, a directive has recently been passed whereby the selection of junior commanders will undergo a procedural change. There will be no more direct channelling of recruits from BMTC to OCS or SISPEC BSLC. Rather, all recruits identified to have leadership potential will undergo a Basic Leadership Course (BLC), which will be housed under SISPEC. Only after the BLC will the trainees be posted to OCS and SISPEC BSLC.
