4 Bar cadets at safti MI

one-niner SG

slaves of the instructors… =)

CKtalon SG

CSC: Run the school in a sense..but mainly is just to coordinate school events such as initiation of junior cadets, TST stuff, School Happy Hour, be there to coordinate commander's parade
The Cadet School 2IC just helps out..

CSSM: Be around mealtimes to ensure that cadets line up quietly and orderly manner..prevent cadets from cutting across the plants area(if u know)
Got the authority to scold and conduct punishments on cadets who do not adhere to a proper code of conduct..Seen the Alpha 53/03 CSSM blakan bu-sing a platoon marching off, and then give them pumping Laughing

CWC: Runs the wing, gives the instructions and timing to be at where and when..Coordinates with instructors..reports strength of wing, conducts area inspection later in the ST2 and pro terms, negotiate with instructors for welfare and for the fault of the wing..gets the brute of in the instructors nevertheless..

C2IC: Helps the CWC, most of the time in charge of setting the duties for the cadets like Cadet Duty Officer and Cadet Duty Specialist..In charge of the extras and stuff..

CWSM: The saikang manager..does the most in the wing..in charge of all stores required for any exercise..is the one to ensure that all the stores are loaded up to the tonners, and signs out from the store..very huge responsibility
In charge of discipline at the same time..

CPC: Manages the platoon, reports strength to CWC, answers to instructors for the platoon when things go platoon level

CPS: Helps the CPC, most of the time is the wan giving the drill commands and helps the CPC collect the strength..In charge of the indentation of meals of the platoon

CSecComd: Does minor stuff..helps the CPC, CPS in collecting homework, cash and stuff..

The CSOs (Cadet Assholes Laughing )
Cadet Sports Officer: Conducts morning 5BX mainly..warming up and cooling down too

Cadet Safety Officer: In charge of ensuring the water points, safety ice are consolidated, gives suggestions when any safety regulation could have been breached (for instance, one CSO told the instructors we couldn't do 5BX run since we didn't get 7 hours of sleep Laughing )

Roughly that..

if the cadets are doing all those jobs, then the real PS, PC, OC, CSM do what? shake legs?

one-niner SG

OCS only got PC, APC ( don't noe if they still have that) for each plt,

all of them are regulars, and the APC is supposed to be incharge of instructing the CPC and CPS on preparing the equipment for camps, excercise so on....

The Wing Comd which is the OC in OCS, usually CBL , attends to more impt matters, much of the jobs aka saikang is handled by the cadets and the WSM especially during excercise time, the WSM will usually ba nah nah the CWSM and down the line ...

if the PCs were to step in, we are in deep shit man ..haha ..from those from Alpha Wing, 45/01 and my seniors, the PC and APC of Platoon 1 was a force to be reckoned with, the PC harrass u day and night during field training, the APC will harras you during Admin time,

My salute personally goes out to those from 37/99 Alpha Wing OOC, you guys really been through hell, especially PLT 1

BMEngineer SG

Oic….training to be officer mah….so must learn all these also…..those stuffs done by sgts and warrants….

BMEngineer SG

Finally i understand…i am also wondering if there are PS or sect coms in ocs…so they are all run by cadets rite?

CKtalon SG

ya..PCs and APC..Those wings that still dun have regular instructors are more slack..NSFs Very Happy
hmm..usually the instructors do the teaching of the skills..not management..More like they just give instructions, and let the cadet appointment holders carry out the duties...
For teaching more in depth stuff, it usually goes to the WOs like the Weapons Team who conduct the lessons..For outfield, their will be an appointed instructor to be the exercise PC to teach the cadets the ropes..The Cadet Exercise PC will not do much, but shadow the instructor..
However, all the Ops orders and stuff is done by the cadets..

The WSM does little, just goes around screwing people, doing the background logistics..Depending on wing, the AWSM may do more stuff than the WSM actually..

The CQ is there to ensure that the stores are there, proper handing and taking over of stores, rations are indented for outfield, collect rations..Wing Comd seldom appears, but gives lessons occasionally..You dun really wan to see the Wing Comds a lot Very Happy

Gordonator SG

wow! this really changes my way of looking at cadets. very big responsibilities they are holding on to. Wink

btw, when they get post to other schools like Combat Engineers, they won't be holding on to their appointments anymore right?

cos i seldom see cadets wearing those appointment ranks at nee soon.

CKtalon SG

Not sure..I didn't get into Pro term Sad
But since the intake for support arm vocations aren't that big..doubt there's a need for such appointments..

Oh yah..something to mention about the duration//

School Appoinment Holders hold their appointments (in OCS) for the whole period till they almost commission before handing over to the next most senior batch

Wing Appointment Holders, CWC, C2IC, CWSM do for about 1 month
The CSOs hold appointments for about 2 months (since their job scope isn't that stressful relatively)

Platoon Appointment Holders: About 1 week or 2 weeks..depending on instructors and Wing SOP

wuming78 SG

they have the same system. but since there are naturally fewer cadets at SOCE, there are also fewer appointment holders. maybe that is why you don't see them often.
