Yes you can do that.

When you receives your enlistment letter they will enclose one letter asking you whether you want to retake your NAPFA at Clementi or Toa Payoh stadiums weeks before enlistment and if you pass you can escape PTP and enlist later.

Ponders SG

as long as you get silver anytime within 12 months before enlistment, you escape PTP.

i know a few people who got silver in the morning and he was actually due for enlistment that afternoon.

come on guys, PTP isnt that bad! Embarassed

no outfield, no long marches. so the transition from civilian life to army life relatively not as shocking as those who go BMT direct.

furthermore, i tink 3 or 4 wks into PTP, you will get a chance to take IPPT (not napfa anymore). if you pass at that time, you can rejoin civilisation for 2 wks before rejoining your friends for BMT.

PTP is good ar. Tat time i oso very sianz, muz go in earlier 6 wks. But when I went in, I didn't regret going in earlier...it really helps in building up ur fitness and getting used to army life...

PTP oso quite enjoyable...lots of free time, long admin time...the onli stuffs u do r IPPT Spec lah, Circuit and Weights, ET Run and stuffs. Sumtimes oso got Route Marches and SOC...and everyday can take naps...haha

How I miss PTP...
