Official statement needs to be more creative. Its so
boring....
Singaporeans feel such a deployment of SOC troops in other parts
of Singapore would be beneficial.
Since when average Singaporean has a say on national
security ?
Firstly, we want to deter any potential terrorist attack.
Yeah right. That terrorist could be just another
sony-cam touting tourist. Terrorist heck care about how many police
or gahkas around, all they want is to be onboard a passenger loaded
Boeing 747 with dead pilots.
Secondly, we hope it will provide greater assurance to the
public and remind them to be constantly vigilant against any
terorist threat."
Can't agree. A sqd of heavily armed law-enforcer in
shopping mall doesn't improves sense of security. In fact, it does
the reverse.
