Why does Singapore lawmakers seem to pay little or no attention
to the environment and its citizens' health?
My concerns are related to housing, transportation, energy use
and fighting common diseases. I am still as amazed of how
underdeveloped this small but great nation is in all of these
aspects, as I am of the fact that no one seem to care enought to
want to improve the situation.
Following the technical advancements in more developed countries
for the past two to three decades, and considering our economic
resources, there are only so many small things that we could easily
implement in order to improve the quality of life for an entire
country, and for generations to come.
Legislate the cure that cost only a few dollars, rather than
outlaw the symptoms by taxes/fines/incentives/fees. Why not simply
raise the bars to the best international standards available?
