PRO-RATED NS Allowance

Got enlisted on 23rd June to 5SIR Alpha Company and just received my first allowance / pay from MINDEF. To my surprise, MINDEF transferred $424 to my account instead of $350 for my PTP in just after 17 day of enlisting. Is it true that on the next pay day, it will be lesser then $350?

PS: Anyone from 5SIR 12th Mono Intake Rolling Eyes

23 june to 30 june = 7 days
month of june = 30 days

$350 / 30 days = $11.667

$11.667 * 7 days = $81.669

$81.669 (month of june) + $350 (month of july) = $431.669

MINDEF give u allowance 1 month in advance.

Why u get only $424 instead? probably due to some subscription mag / insurance / company stuffs (company T-shirt) n etc.

we are given allowance not pay. we provide a service to SAF rather than working for SAF! Mr. Green

August, u will get again. Hmm, the system goes like how ur parent give u allowance every month mah.

They give u $$ at the begining of the month to spend and only give u the next allowance the begining of the following month.

yeah. on the 10th of each month, u get ur pay for that month. ur pay will also be pro-rated if ur length of service is not equals to a full month.
