did u ask him before he went in?
anyway there is no point worrying too much. by this time he prob
would have called you. hes not the first guy to have gone through
ns, and certainly not the only person in his batch to do so.
as for rest, he will get to rest. there is a recruit mess but
whether or not there is tv, and how much time they get to spend on
it, is another issue. in any case, rest for them would more often
than not mean sleep.
he went for PTP or BMT? if its PTP den its mostly physical trg and
drills and lessons, etc. if its BMT den its learning weapons, basic
military drills and skills, physical trg, outfield trg, etc.
