On BMT recourse

Any chance that a person going to do recourse will do extra months in his national service? A friend told me that because i kenna recourse (due to leg injury) , the months i spent on my ORIGINAL BMT won’t be counted in my national service. This sounds kind of inplausible but just wondering if there’s an outside chance this can happen.

no.. that is not true. your original bmt will be counted as will your recourse. they cannot punish people who OOC this way.

I went thorugh a direct BMT Recourse last year July and my ORD date wasn’t affected by it. You can still ORD along with the batch you originally enlisted.

not to worry, it wont be extra months …. these are just threatening words from instructors … as they have to do it to spur those who perform poorly during bmt

pls la.. all u hv heard is crap.. ORD date = enlistment date + 2 1/2yrs.. it will be true for all cases unless u go DB

This is what I know about recourse, please correct me if I am wrong.

If you OOC during your BMT due to medical grounds and you have since recovered and your PES reinstated.

You have to do recourse, since you never actually POP from BMT.

The recourse will be based on your PES status, so if you are PES A/B. The period of recourse is equal to your eariler BMT course, unless you have been downgraded.

Here is the difference, some BMTC company line will based on your earlier BMT and see which items you need to do. Example, if you have completed your IFC in your earlier BMT, some company line will excuse you from it, which means you stay in bunk and "twang". Mr. Green

But there are also some company line will expect you to go through all the course, so it depends on the company you are doing your recourse.

But if you suay suay kena recourse with enlist recruits, most likely, you have to do everything from scratch

For a PES A/B recourse, most likely you'll be doing it with recently enlisted recruits. What you have or do not have to do all depends on your OC and PC. Some companies allow recoursees to "skip" items they have done before and basically just do sai kang during the activity. I kena one company that basically made us recoursees do everything over again so it depends on your luck.
