You have CMP..... Chondromalaciae patellae. It results from overuse. Difficult to prove, easy to make clinical diagnosis. A side X ray of you knee will show the problem. It is considered by the SAF not to be long term so you will be given a temp downgrade. Let the MO know of your problem. They will take it from there

ic , thanks alot for the reply , i`ll tell the MO when i enlist , but if i`m temp downgrade then he re-upgrade me , won`t that mean i may need to retake my BMT if i get downgraded to pes c or sth?

Yes you will have to do a BMT recourse when your condition has improved

thank you very much for answering my questions , i`m by nature someone who hate to waste time , i`m wondering if you would advise againist me not telling the MO about my condition and try to "tough" it out?

i was considering a career in the army in the logistics sector , if i declared my injured leg , would that equal a lower chance of joining the army?

knowingly denying the MO knowledge of ur medical condition is irresponsible and not fair - for him, for people around u. i dont think its wise to do that.

as for the career, you can apply and see what they say. they are in the midst of making it easier for pes c personnel to be absorbed into service vocations, so perhaps that may be the break you need.
