Actually I did went to CMPB to request for a medical review with the X Rays and Specialist letter but the MO there just browse through the letter within 5 seconds, loking reluctantly without even looking at the X Ray and told me to refer to Tekong MO during enlistment.

No,it's up to the manpower department.So it is better you go for the pes c bmt while you are still pes c.If your pes c expires,then quickly go see the MO again if you are still not combat fit of course.If not you go for the combat bmt!

But the problem is -- I am currently PES B but due to my problems in spine deformity my shoulders will be very painful when carrying heavy things so I doubt I can cope with BMT. Sad

I am quite worried that the Tekong's MO will be like their CMPB counterparts -- Insists me to go full BMT even though I can't cope it and there is proofs of me can't coping it. Evil or Very Mad

wat i can say is, u can report sick with ur letter immediately, and try to get ooc the first day. u will den hang around and do sai gang, until u get a pes status, and den hang around and wait somemore until the next pes c bmt.

i dont think there is a need to worry too much, esp if u haf a letter, and if u really feel pain and all. worse come to worse if the MO is indeed blind u can always call the saf helpline.

but please dont exaggerate or understate anything.

Well...depends la.

If you PeS c, tt is, OOC so cannot do BMT, then get posted to unit, but ur S1 will arrange for you to go into BMT again. So u undergo ANOTHER Medical Board, and then if u unlucky, get upgraded, and go thru Pes B recourse, then u MAY NOT get back into ur previous unit la.

What you mean is: If after OOC and getting downgraded we will continue to do sai gang at Pulau Tekong while waiting for the next PES C BMT?

Or you mean: If If after OOC and getting downgraded we will be posted out and then we will return back to Tekong later for recourse?

i believe its the former, since there are so many batches of bmt each yr. no point posting out den posting in again.

Its a gamble.No guarantees that you’ll be heading to a unit for a long time, unless you really have many pending medical reviews which I believe could push back your recourse date far enough for you to be posted out for vocation training.
