West Ham United are
considering a bid from Liverpool
for striker Carlton Cole.
Sky Sports News says Liverpool have made an offer for the England
international, which West Ham are now considering.
Reports suggest that Liverpool are prepared to offer Ryan Babel, who
has been linked with Tottenham,
in a part-exchange deal and they will now hope to push through an
agreement before Tuesday's transfer deadline at 6pm.
Liverpool are turning to Cole
after drawing a blank in their pursuit of Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez.
