The most important thing for Liverpool now is to sell the club
to new owners. As long as the new owners do not burden the
club with debt, carry on with plans for the new stadium, and
provide the manager a decent transfer budget.
Liverpool could sack Benitez, and it would be justifiable
considering the abysmal season, but the biggest worry is whether
Liverpool can find any better replacements.
Anyway, if Benitez goes, Liverpool must try its best to retain
the core of the team. At least Torres, Masch, Gerrard and
Reina must stay.
