Xabi Alonso = Wesley Sneijder + Cash

Poolman SG

Xabi Alonso's move to Real Madrid is back on the cards, with Liverpool reportedly willing to consider a deal if Wesley Sneijder is included.

Alonso is seemingly intent on a move to the Bernabeu, but thus far the two clubs have failed to reach an agreement over a transfer fee.

According to The Times, however, Liverpool are now willing to accept a cut-price deal, if Wesley Sneijder is included in the package. The Reds are currently demanding €37million, a fee that Los Merengues are unwilling to match.

Despite the belief that all the Dutch players at Real Madrid are for sale, Manuel Pellegrini has stated that he considers Sneijder to be a vital part of the side. However, he might be willing to part with the Dutch midfielder in order to land Alonso.

It is expected that Alonso will not join the Liverpool squad on their pre-season tour to Asia, as both clubs continue to negotiate.

Not Sneijder , but the really shrew Rafa Benitez !!!!

Still not finished? Now throw in Sneijder? I think he is ok lah, but I prefer to keep players who understand our system of play then have new replacements, unless the new guy is really better. But Sneijder and Alonso like not much difference leh.

Sneijder is a playmaker ... playing like what Stevie Gerrard did last season ....

Now looked like Stevie Gerard moving back to the defensive midfielder role , leaving Sneijder roaming up front .

I now praying hard Lucas not in Raf's first team sheet !!!

If Rafa is thinking about Lucas replacing Alonso , i think that'll be a grave mistake .

Maybe Lucas will have a breakout role next season.

Like those they give out at MTV movie awards.

The Spain midfielder should complete his £32million switch in the next 48 hours and Benitez wants David Silva, 23, to replace him. Crisis-hit Valencia want nothing less than a straight cash deal for Silva, rated at around £20m. Barcelona are no longer interested.

The Reds also want striker Alvaro Negredo in a swap for defender Alvaro Arbeloa, and may sign longterm target, Athletic Bilbao's 20-year-old central midfielder Javi Martinez.

The latest news on Alonso is that he joined up the Liverpool squad in Vienna and will stay on for at least 1 more year. Don’t know whether these news is true…but it seems promising so far for us!

Poolman SG

I am trying to figure our first team squad for 2009/2010 .

Reina

Carragher / Skrtel / Johnson / Aurelio

Gerrrard ( DM )

Silva ( RM )

Babel ( LM )

Sneijder ( CM )

Kuyt & Torres ( FW )

Actually i just need Silva and Sneijder , tat's all .

Backup : Benayoun , Zahar , Ngogu .

When is Dossena and Arbeloa leaving ????

Without the sale of Alonso , we cannot get Silva and Sneijder .

limpper SG

hello

32 pounds nvr include sneijder, meaning if rafa wants both, he need to bargain to see whether if any of the two clubs that sliva and wesley are willing to lower their asking price anot

and liverpool cannot afford to have gerrard falling back, it will break that supply and link to torres

we only have that able supply from the middle area to torres

wesley is a defensive midfielder, but i would nvr prefer a direct replacement should alonso leave at any point of time.

Redster SG

no one should leave liverpool atm. they just need to keep having the attitude they showed last year
