Liverpool's Premiership clash at Newcastle this afternoon is in
danger of falling foul to the weather after heavy rainfall in the
north-east.
The pitch was deemed playable when inspected by referee Mark Halsey
shortly after midday and groundstaff are doing all they can to
drain the excess water.
But, with the rain continuing to fall, conditions are being
monitored very closely.
