England is NOT lousy.
They have a lousy Mgr who has no tactical nous!
Look at Sven in the match, just sit there and let Mclaren do all
the shouting.
Sven has always counted on the skills of his star players to carry
the team through.
His time in Lazio, if not for Veron and Crespo, he could not have
won the Serie A!
If not for Beckham, Rooney, Owen, Gerrard, Ferdinand, England would
not have graced so far into Euro and WC!
Scolari won it in tactics. Why did Scolari bring in Simao &
Viana for Pauletta & Tiago? To open up play, change formation
with 2 wide wingers & a ghost striker in Figo in the middle.
When Figo was tired, Scolari realised it and brought on Postiga.
All his subs are with purpose.
Sven? Sigh.....They still could have won the game with 10 men! If
only he did not bring in Crouch. If only he moved Gerard up front.
Take out Lampard, bring in Jenas or at least run Walcott!
Take out Lennon for Carragher so that he can take penalties?! He's
already thinbking of penalties even b4 the final whistle was
blown!
Scolari was still screaming and gesticulating his players to move
forward.
That is forward thinking! Realised how much possesion Portugal had
in the last minutes? Gosh!
If only Scolari takes up the offer for England......
