The continuing problem of Liverpool is that they never imposed
themselves as a team onto the opposition.
They are always on the backfoot themselves and thus allow their own
defence to make mistakes over and over again.
The first half against Mainz was like that. Mainz had more
clear-cut chances, pass the ball well and had some good
running.
Liverpool, on the other hand, always try to make that long ball
over the Mainz defence, which always gets intercepted.
True, this may be a friendly but the tempo was at an EPL pace.
There are definitely concerns to be worried about.
