Chelsea winger Damien Duff is to undergo a medical with
Newcastle ahead of a proposed transfer.
Liverpool reportedly made a late approach for the player but that
could be denied when the chief executive Rick Parry next
speaks.

The news has been confirmed by Newcastle United PLC who have issued
the following statement:
Newcastle United PLC Statement re: Damien Duff
