iSpeak SG I am more excited over this friendly that I had been for any match in the recent World Cup. You Will Never Walk Alone!
anhydrouscoppersulphate SG hope pennant and the other guy rafael hinted can join the squad asap. lidat then complete
CoolMyth SG Starting lineup for Liverpool: LIVERPOOL: Dudek, Peltier, Hyypia, Paletta, Traore, Anderson, Hobbs, Zenden, Gonzalez, Fowler, Bellamy. SUBS: Reina, Finnan, Riise, Garcia, Aurelio, Pennant, Sissoko. Yay! Can see Fowler.
Medicated Oil SG Hobbs can killed himself for commiting two silly mistakes in a match. Guess he will be gone soon. As for Zenden, he can start packing his bags. He is not comfortable in midfield and keep losing possession. It was overall a boring match as Liverpool did not play as a team.
ben1406 SG FC KAISERSLAUTERN 3 - 2 LIVERPOOL REINA THE MIDFIELDER CAN'T SAVE REDS Liverpool might have missed out on the city's comedy festival while staying at a pre-season camp in Switzerland, but Rafael Benitez clearly entered into the spirit of fun by playing Pepe Reina as a midfielder during a 3-2 defeat to FC Kaiserslautern. With the game level at 2-2 after Craig Bellamy had scored his second goal in three games and Luis Garcia had given the Reds a brief lead, Benitez found himself short of available players and decided to throw on the Spanish goalkeeper as a makeshift midfielder. While the crowd of 2,800 in Liechtenstein couldn't believe what they were seeing, Reina twice went close to grabbing the winner before Marcel Ziemer subjected Liverpool to their first pre-season defeat of the new campaign with an 87th minute strike. Having been a goal down early in the second half, Liverpool looked to have won the game until two late strikes swung the game in Kaiserslautern's favour. With fitness the only real concern of Benitez at this stage of pre-season, you can't imagine the Liverpool will lose much sleep over Saturday night's result.
CoolMyth SG Make that three mistakes. And I thought Zenden did okay. He had the vision to pass and control the midfield but he's not a tough-tackling person like Gerrard/Sissoko. A Xabi Alonso type. Still, it's a friendly match and hope the players will step up a gear for the Community Shield.
Medicated Oil SG The good thing about the Liverpool goal - Pennant able to link up with Bellamy, Fowler provides the crosses for the midfield. But, the second string team cannot make it.
