KOPTALK -
Liverpool Football Club have told the local media that they are
"mystified" at today's reports which claim that they are on the
verge of signing Feyenoord ace Dirk Kuyt.
A report in today's Daily Mail (British newspaper) claimed that the
Dutch hitman should complete a proposed move to Anfield within 48
hours.
Although there's been no official response from the club, the
claims have been played down by insiders.
Feyenoord are not interested in any players plus cash offers and
want straight cash, something that Liverpool haven't got a lot of,
especially with Rafa pressing ahead with plans to try and bring in
Daniel Alves.
However, Liverpool have indicated that if Feyenoord lower their
asking price they may make a fresh offer. They won't though
consider anything higher than £10million.
Feyenoord gave Liverpool a deadline of last Sunday to increase
their initial offer but Rick Parry stayed in to watch Eastenders
instead.
