Liverpool have emerged as front-runners in the race for Tunisian
Hatem Trabelsi.
Skysports.com understand talks are at an advanced stage between the
two parties, but Liverpool are yet to decide whether to finalise a
move.
Trabelsi is keen on the switch and is thought to have made Anfield
his preferred destination.
Coach Rafa Benitez has been actively pursuing Sevilla's Daniel
Alves - but that move looks to have faltered, which may well have
hastened his move for out-of-contract Trabelsi.
Trabelsi seems set to leave Ajax and following an impressive
display at the World Cup finals - a move to England appears the
most likely option at this point.
Arsenal are also known to have contacted Trabelsi's advisors - but
the Liverpool interest is the furthest forward.
