NTUC Secretary-General Lim Swee Say assured the more than 130 union
leaders present that “we will continue to take (the) best care of
our union members”.
“At the same time, we also want to extend our outreach to workers
who are still not our union members,” he said.
Speaking to reporters later, he also emphasised the importance of
union membership, noting when it comes to labour issues, unions can
legally represent only their members.
