Pablo Aimar knows Valencia are ready to sell him this summer.

The Argentina international's agent, Matías Aldao, met with Valencia sports director Amedao Carboni to learn Los Che are inviting offers for the midfield schemer.

Aimar still has two years left on his contract and it's Valencia's intention not to sell until after the World Cup. A good tournament in Germany would see Aimar attract bids in the region of £10 million.

Is Rafa waiting for this moment??

anhydrouscoppersulphate SG

it seems like a gd buy

dragg SG

is he still in the argentinian squad?

Poolman SG

He has to . It's a disgrace if he's not in .

Poolman SG

Not likely ....... cos last week Benitez said Garcia is not for sale at any price , he's has got plans for Garcia .

Garcia and Aimar in the same mode .

I would still prefer Garcia , cos he can play in verious positions in the front line .

Dunno if Aimar is capable of doing that ?

If Ah Ben want to buy , he has to sell Garcia .

Patrik SG

I would love to see Pablo Aimar at Liverpool.
Can let Luis Garcia play striker.
Aimar support him.
Very Happy

stellazio SG

too many midfielders..and aimar might not be able to take the rough physical style of epl..

edi_77777 SG

Aimar will be very useful in the UCL... and give him a season to get used to the league..

Argentines are usually tough n mentally strong so he might blend in real fast..

RSP SG

Aimar will be perfect for Liverpool..as the attacking midfielder behind the two strikers and on top of 3 work horse midfielders.

Imagine..

-----Fowler Crouch-------------------

-----------Aimar------------------------

Alonso----------Gerrard--------------

-----------Sissoko----------------------

Risse-----Agger--Carragher---Alves

Of cos, it'll be even better if Rafa could bring in Alves, and perhaps 1 or 2 top class strikers..This formation will work I think...

cyke SG

Yeah I kinda like the formation you have there. I think Aimar would be a good buy too.

Other possibilities

---------------------------------------Reina--------------------------------------
Finnan-----------------Hyppia-------------------Carragher--------------Riise
-----------Alves-------------------Sissoko----------------Alonso--------------
----------Gerrard----------------Crouch----------------Aimar----------------

-------------------------------------------Reina-----------------------------------
Finnan/Kromkamp------Hyppia/Agger----Carragher/Paletta-----Riise/Aurelio
Alves/Simao----------Alonso----------------Aimar-----------------Kewell/Gonzales
------------------------Gerrard-----------------Crouch------------------------------

---------------------------------------Reina---------------------------------------
Finnan/Kromkamp----Hyppia/Agger---Carragher/Paletta-----Riise/Aurelio
------------------------------------Sissoko---------------------------------------
---------------Gerrard-----------Alonso----------------------Aimar----------
--------------------------------Crouch-------Bellamy-------------------------

--------------------------------------Reina----------------------------------------------
Finnan---------------Hyppia------------------Carragher-------------------Riise---
---------------------------------Sissoko--------------------------------------------
Gerrard--------------Alonso------------Aimar---------------------Gonzales
---------------------------------Crouch-----------------------------------------------

Poolman SG

I like the current defensive set-up , as Finnan , Hyypia ( Agger) , Carra and Riise .

Alves ? Not so sure about the deal now that Sevilla is placing him on a "Superstar" price , 12.3 million , no way for this Alves !

Our midfield is okay ma , Gerrard , Momo , Alonso , Marky Gonzales and Garcia .....

Strikers problem la now ......

cyke SG

Actually I think the right midfield spot still needs to be sorted out.

2 players should come in as right midfielders.

My choice would be Simao and Pennant.

I think Pennant is a done deal already. So not so worried there. I think Benitez was looking to see if he could get both Simao and Alves then he would not go for Pennant.

But I think Alves is off the list with this crazy price. Not worth it.

As for Strikers......I think Bellamy would be ideal. Kuyt should come in also. We do need someone to fight with Crouch for the target man role.

So I hope the following come to LFC

Simao
Pennant
Bellamy
Kuyt.

Aimar.....well good to have but not necessary.

the Bear SG

i still think LFC needs a 20 goal-a-season striker...

should try to get Ruudy van Twisted Evil

edi_77777 SG

honestly speaking i would welcome him to join Liverpool!

he is really those strikers that we need alot!

the Bear SG

yeah... imagine having Ruudy van and he plays the best season of his life...

and looking at MUFC, i really think the old man has lost the plot.. it'll seriously be a damned good move for RVN himself..

i would think that after the animosity generated, such a move would actually spur RVN to play his guts out just to stick it to the team that shafted him...

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to return to Valencia for Argentine playmaker Pablo Aimar.

Aimar, 26, has been reduced to little more than bit-part player at Valencia under coach Quique Flores' strict 4-4-2 formation.

Now the man who cost £14million from River Plate five years ago could link up with former boss Benitez for little more than a third of that, after being transfer listed yesterday.

looks like Aimar might be coming afterall...

Poolman SG

If RVN has got the Old Trafford’s fans in the heart , the last club he would join will be Liverpool .
