fowler for 15 is unrealistic. he's short term cover for our
striker woes this season and i think he's on another year purely
out of goodwill. liverpool is not w/out a heart having seen
fowler's contribution in the past and also the 5 goals he scored
this season.
my take is he will be a fringe striker next season, maybe more
prominantly featured in cup ties, like league cup, etc.
we truly have a striker issues. cisse is lacking confidence, don't
know if the spanish/french mix is an issue. he' lethal, but rafa
plays him out of position, and few and far between. anyone's
confidence will be dampen. cisse also proves that he's versatile,
since he's not bad in a non-striker position. ask crouchie or morry
to play in those and they'll flop bigtime. i am still keeping my
fingers crossed that rafa will retain cisse. morry must go. fowler
and crouch will be bit player in my opinion, use in a tactical
set-up situation. sinama should sign for blackburn since he's 1st
11 there and his chances at liverpool will be limited. mellor is
good, but lacked temperament to be red-hot reds stricker. cisse is
still my best bet despite an indifferent season.
dafoe is too much in the mold of cisse. rely on speed and quick
thinking split second move. i take cisse anytime.
i think another striker will definitely come in. i hope rafa starts
with 2 strikers next season, cisse and _____________. if rafa must
do spanish, i hope spaniard david villa can come to anfield. cisse
and villa can wreck havoc, with feeds from stevie, xabi and
kewell.
