EPL : Arsenal vs Liverpool

SBS9828X SG

???

wats the score?

Poolman SG

Arsenal fully deserve the victory , despite that bizarre Gerrard's gift from god , they played better football , beautiful passing possession football .

No complaint .

Alonso's red card just make the thing worst , and poor poor Gerrard , why must be Gerrard ?

felirox SG

2-1! arsenal won!

stellazio SG

yea arsenal fully deserved it..should have scored more though..henry and fabregas was brilliant..

but what stevie g was exactly what he did during euro 2004..

anyone remember england vs france?last few mins he backpass to henry.. Neutral

this 2-1 result flattered liverpool abit..had arsenal been more clinical in their finishing..

www SG

as much as i dont think liverpool deserve anything outta this game, alonso doesnt deserve to be sent off as well.

players were slipping in the entire game and the replay show that he did. he was unfortunate to be fumbling into a defender.

liverpool's goal shouldnt have been allowed in the first place when a foul should be given against garcia.

btw, garcia should carry on to be a sub. he was virtually the 12th man for arsenal until he scored that goal.

Patrik SG

Heart breaking.
Crying or Very sad
Alonso red card,Gerrard mistake.
Haiz

stellazio SG

actually i was kinda surprised..liverpool went for a 5 man midfield in an attempt to contained and dominate the midfield..

and pool being a solid, and compact team usually dun allow the opponent much space..and when not in possesion usually get men behind the ball to pressure..

yet arsenal seemed to be able to find their man with ease..i duno whether izzit fatigue from pool or arsenal's off the ball movement and fabregas passing vision is too good.. Rolling Eyes

CoolMyth SG

Disappointing yet not undeserved.

Arsenal were at their best. Liverpool just plain sucks nowadays. Crying or Very sad

Poolman SG

Ai ya .....kelong one la ! Mr. Green

Liverpool got three points at Anfield with a 87th goal , now at Highbury , Arsenal got three points also from almost the same timing .

Must be Wenger and Benitez up to something ..... Rolling Eyes

Poolman SG

Still i haven't got the answer for this question - Why did Arsenal performed so well for this match and yet at Anfield they flopped like hell ? Same to L'pool , why can't they perform the same like they did at Anfield ?

Of course it concerned a bit of home and away culture , but can't be that far , right ?

It's a sharp contrast leh .

Poolman SG

As for that sending off .... i have different opinion with Benitez .

My opinion , if you 're yellow carded , then u should be more careful about your movement , avoid unnecessay tackles or fouls , that can give ref an excuse to fire you .

Now Alonso is out for three games .

Poolman SG

dragg SG

liverpool should play crouch as a substitute. he may be tall but he is certainly not strong enough.

they keep pumping long and high balls to him but to no avail.

Medicated Oil SG

Liverpool is simple to mark.

Just stationed 3 defenders in front of goal mouth.

The wingers and midfielders will definitely swing the ball towards your direction.

Just have to react with the Liverpool strikers.

Liverpool played well in the beginning of the second half as Arsenal decide to score the "beautiful goal" and missed a few chances.

Arsenal lost in Anfield as they have lost self-belief.

Liverpool lost in Highbury cos they gave Arsenal too much respect and coupled with the wrong tactics and players.

Ah Ben need to wake up himself and stop pet-ing crouch.

Crouch really cannot make it.

Patrik SG

I agree.
Peter Crouch really cannot make it.
No threat at all.

incredible SG

The players or defenders in EPL are now used to the style of Crouch. He is of not much use in EPL matches.

I felt that international players from other country might, however, find Crouch difficult to contain. Hence Sven has him in his rank for WC2006

Pool sucks big time. When you cant score, you cant win. As simple as that.

kopiosatu SG

hahahahahha gerrard wanna assist henry how many times?

stellazio SG

Yea i feel the same way..he misplaced a pass, den he ran all the way and ended up slipping..

its also like abit of frustration..

eh 2 yellow card is 3 games meh?i thought straight red den is 3 games.

dragg SG

cant exactly blame him.

anyway if not for him there wont be an equaliser.
