Liverpool boss SOS for Fowler
tribalfootball.com - February 7, 2006
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to hand Robbie Fowler a start
against Charlton Athletic tomorrow.
Benitez explained his decision to leave out Fowler at Chelsea, when
he said: "Robbie is not 100 per cent fit.
"We need to work with him and see how he improves. He can give to
us more things, but normally when you play against Chelsea you are
under pressure and you need to play deep.
"When you only have 16 players on a squad list it's not easy to use
all the strikers. Robbie understands that and he is working hard to
improve his physical situation."
Jerzy Dudek will also be in goal at Charlton after Jose Reina's red
card at Stamford Bridge.
