I was very dissappointed when I saw Rafa line up Sissoko and
Hamann in the middle of midfield. I understand his concern for
Alonso's fitness but I felt that if he wanted to rest Alonso, at
least start with Gerrard in the middle. The middle is crucial. With
Sissoko and Hamann, there'll be no creativity and passing abililty
in the centre.
Not surprisingly, Liverpool only started playing when Garcia and
Alonso came on.
Hyppia's howler was unfortunate. Reina could have done better with
the 2 goals.
Kewell is slowly improving, which is a good sight. Pongolle looked
lost.
Overall, it should have been 3 points had Rafa started the game
with a better midfield pairing and Cisse, instead of
Pongolle.
You wanna rest players from the start? Sure, but you drop 2 points.
( I don't see Chelsea resting Lampard and Makelele)
