Liverpool just focus on consolidating the second place.

Sick of fighting for CL qualification every season.

If they no need to do plaf-off next season, it will be a bonus for Ah Ben.

Liverpool have been dealt a blow with the news that Dutch midfielder Boudewijn Zenden will play no further part in the campaign.

Zenden was one of the players brought to the club in the summer by Spanish tactician Rafa Benitez and he had made a steady start to life at Anfield.

He damaged a knee against Real Betis at the end of last month and was initially ruled out for four weeks.

However, the problem has turned out to be more severe than initially thought, with cruciate ligament damage set to keep the midfielder on the sidelines until the summer.

Zenden is due to fly out to America this weekend to see revered Colorado-based specialist Dr Richard Steadman.

Surgery has been pencilled in for Wednesday, with The Reds scratching the midfielder from their plans for the remainder of the campaign.

Poolman SG

Not much a blow like what the media said .

How many games he played when we won ? How many games he played when we had our 9 clean sheets ?

He's not really a key player for us .

If it's Xabi , then we are going to worry , very much !

i think pool will win this time. after that the players can go on holiday in japan. Laughing

X-men SG

Dudek's days seems numbered Neutral

Patrik SG

Wow..i must say i am impressed with Liverpool's performance.
Harry Kewell is surely back on the right track.
I feel excited whenever he gets the ball.
He was impressive tonight.
Luis Garcia also had a good game.
And Nando's 2nd goal was pure classic.
Very Happy

Poolman SG

Think so ..... Rolling Eyes

Or how he prepare for World Cup on the bench ?

Benitez say want to keep him , Dudek say want to go .

Better go , good for him for the World Cup .

His wages too high for L'pool , nearly 45,000 pound per week offered to him by Houllier .

Poolman SG

Ya man , classic off-side not seen by linesman ! Mr. Green

Poolman SG

Another Benitez's master stroke , taking off the very effective but no goal Crouch , and then what ? Goal within ten minutes .

Patrik SG

Reina was also superb in between the posts.

Soze SG

This is the kind of form expected from a title challenging side. If Liverpool can maintain this sort of form over the remaining 20 odd games of the season then they will surely push Chelsea all the way.

798 SG

liverpool maintained 10 clean sheets in a row? Shocked

i think liverpool did pretty well tis season. now they can go vacation in japan to gain some experience. Mr. Green
