UCL : Liverpool vs Anderlecht

Shigemichi Take SG

Ian rush is coaching the strikers if i'm not mistaken.

dragg SG

but kewell did a bad job of proving he is even worth that 5 million.

Orions Belt SG

Ok lah ok....

Let's all just hope Kewell starts playing well again. He started off well but died down towards the end of the first season. Lets hope to see the old Kewell back again. He's certainly capable. Razz

The man who was death SG

neil mellor on loan now at sheff utd rite?? is he the top goal scorer for pool this season?? Laughing

Patrik SG

The way i see Crouch play,I find it hard for him to score goals. His control of the ball let him down many times.
I wonder if he is playing in the correct position, being a striker.
Perhaps he shld try playing as a defender.

Medicated Oil SG

All the ball played to crouch are long ball.

Crouch ended up chesting down the ball and losing possession.

He is also all over the place and try too hard to play well.

Too bad he lack situation awareness - sharpness to react to opportunities gifted to him.

He is still around as Ah Ben insisted that his choice of Crouch is right.

Crouch should seriously change his style of play and give a good talk to Ah Ben.

Nando is situation-sharp and get into position in scoring.

Nando just have to create better rapport with Stevie.

Cisse is selfish but he is the only fast guy around.

He too dependent of others playing the right ball for him.

He pissed pple off.

As for Garcia, he is the surprise package.

When he is in the mood, he anyhow also can score.

Poolman SG

Absolutely brilliant display by L'pool.

Reina has no save at all !

Even better performance than against WestHam .

All three goals was brilliant executed ! Signs of a returning lethal instinct in front of goal .

Once again , Gerrard were brilliant on the right , hope he doesn't mind playing there often than he did .

Morientes' goal was an example of self confidence .

Last night Garcia were saying he has to improve his heading capability , he did , that header what can i say ? Just brilliantly taken .

Kewell was alright , made a run-in into the bix , closed in by those belgium's defedners , slice thru to Cisse , suspected off-side , but who cares , the flag still down , 3-0 , confidently taken into the far lost .

This three goals silence those critics , a tribute for all those doubtful fans .

Laughing Chelsea lost at Betis !

Premiership team , watch how Chelsea got well beated by betis , fantastic result for L'pool , we're in poll position .

Next 2 matches , nay , sent in those reserves , will ya Benny ?

X-men SG

I simply cannot understand why Liverpool agreed to pay 7 million for someone NOT PROVEN.

I rather spend 7 million on Yao Min (if he cost that much) at least I can hope that the billions in China will buy his jersey and we can make profit from that.

I don't even think he play well in Siants. Look at his track records, no matter how I try to be kind, its still dont add up to 7 million. Confused

stellazio SG

as expected..why didn't i bet.. Laughing

798 SG

Well Done for Liverpool!

Let's hope they can win the next match and draw with chelsea and remain at top table. Very Happy

dragg SG

dont be so sure.

798 SG

personally i believe he should be given a chance to outshine. Too bad he's only a one goal wonder against arsenal.

798 SG

i think most fans will think crouch sux. but maybe this is a plot by the boss to deceive their opponent to make them think crouch is a 'markman', where in the case crouch is only a midfielder. Twisted Evil

Medicated Oil SG

Crouch is a plot for failure.

Now he can compete with Garcia in losing possession.

He is basically lost.

Today morning, he was all over the place.

When the ball come to him, he is slow to react.

I dun really blame him.

Maybe he is suited for the breakaway 4-5-1 formation, not the wait-for-the-team-of-opponent-to-gather-to-defend situation.

After Morienties scores, the cameramen took a shot at Crouch.

The bitterness is there.

All the strikers in Liverpool have scored this season except him.

Poolman SG

Nothing great about beating Anderlecht ? It's not the team than we won we're concern with , it's how the way we played and won .

We played brilliantly and won , and fully deserve the victory .

X-men SG

I watched the replay just now..... this is the common comment I heard "Once AGAIN, Crouch failed to create something out of it...."

I wonder who gave him that 7 million price tag. I begin to wonder is that fellow looking at Yao Min's value in NBA or what. At least Yao Min looks slightly.. just slight better Twisted Evil

Poolman SG

Com'on guys , give Crouch a break , can ?

Crouch has been in L'pool for less than 6 months , and played merely for less than 15 full games , please don't expect miracle from someone that new to the squad la .

I certainly never forgot how he tormented Real Betis' defense and won us the first UCL match .

It will take sometime for him to switch from a team of Southampton's category to the more continental style of L'pool's , and also that most difficult barrier , language barrier .

How to communicate best when most players on the frontline spoke only Spanish and French ?

Think again . He need time to adept to the other strikers .

stellazio SG

crouch should ask stevie G to start crossing the ball to him to head.. Laughing

798 SG

i somehow feel that crouch is a lucky charm for liverpool and england. Laughing with him, there will be some hope. Razz anyway i feel that cisse cant deliver too. isnt cisse supposed to be goal scoring machine?

X-men SG

I tried and I do like the way he holds the ball and waits for the midfields to attack BUT as a striker he should have done better in many situations. If I remember correctly... he didnt even make the opponent's keeper dive to save his shots (if he have any)
