Striker Rumours!!

Getafe have warned Liverpool they will have to meet their asking price if they want to sign star striker Riki. The Reds are reported to be lining up a move...

RSP SG

Then you should know how important service from the midfield is to strikers...

dragg SG

there are too many factors involved.

stellazio SG

wait pool do create alot of chance if you watch the matches..against blackburn it was very evident that the service should have been good enough but they don't take their chances..and good strikers are always able to conjur up something when there is nothing..so don't always blame the service..cause i have seen pool play alot of times and really their finishing is poor.. Laughing

RSP SG

You call that good service?

I seriously wondered if you watched the match..

The way they put crosses in was painful. And the constant long balls to Crouch..Need I say more?

Poolman SG

All lies with Benitez and his so-call tactics....

Many said Benitez is the master of tactician , i have doubts leh ...

We don't see lots of creation leh , where is our link play ? Through balls ? one-twos ?

We only see our overlapping defenders delivery blind crosses into the nobody's land .

And we don't see crosses when Crouch is playing .

We control alot , just plain passings in opponents halves , but once Garcia got the ball , it's back to square one .... we wasted alot of time controlling , not creating .

We wasted alot of those 90 mins trying to get back possession lost by Luis Garcia and Josemi ..... oh my god , please sell this two .

RSP SG

Wah...Josemi I can understand..

But Garcia?
I think he is one of the better players in the team. With him on the pitch, there are more chances. He is a vry intelligent player. Only that sometimes he loses the ball when he tries too much..but thats his natural flair. He is learning and he will only become better. He can do for LFC what Robert Pires did for Arsenal.

As for the crosses, honestly, there is no out to out winger in the LFC team. The closest 2 are Kewell and Zenden. Both are'nt playing as much as they will liked to. Risse is never a natural left winger. He is only good at set pieces and the occasional long range efforts.

The central midfield is their strongest point...Alonso, Gerrard Sissoko or Hamann..thats why you see LFC playing through them so often..

They dun go wide not because they dont want to but because they cant! They dont have the wingers!!

dragg SG

i dont find RB special too.

frankly i dont see any tactical change. the players he signed dont seem to be blend too.

lui garcia is not a very good player. he loses the ball once too often.

i find him a weak link in liverpool's attack.

Medicated Oil SG

Garcia is suited for the jack in the box role.

The striker that fight for loose ball.

(of course, Liverpool is fighting for ball that he "loose")

But, he is like steven tan, a super-sub.

As for Jo-See-Mi, he should be playing S-League.

Ah Ben won his matches in Valencia using the 4-5-1 formation.

That is why he is so adamant that Liverpool can copy his pattern of success.

The players that he bought did not possess any hunger or passion, just skill.

Unless Ah Ben change his tactics and stablise his best 11 for his team.

He will end up like the former chelsea manager, too much rotation causing the players lots of confusion.

He make a comment that his present squad is better than the team last season.

I beg to differ.

This bunch of players are just soccer players, NOT Liverpool players.

dragg SG

i believe ian rush is confused now too.

RSP SG

Luis Garcia is one of the 3 liverpool players nominated for European Player of the Year.

The other 2 being Carragher and Gerrard.

Now, tell me Garcia is not a good player?

dragg SG

it is just a matter of opinions.

i am sure not all your opinions are the same as soccer pundits right?

RSP SG

Yes its a matter of opinion..and honestly, I think we are on extreme ends of the spectrum.

I really dont understand how people cannot see the creative and attacking side of Garcia. The number of important goals he scores and the number of little passes that lead to big openings.

Nevertheless, Im glad Im on the same page as FIFA.

dragg SG

FIFA's opinion arent important. RB's is!!

RSP SG

No idea what the heck you talking about.

RB thinks Garcia is a good player. So does FIFA.

dragg SG

if FIFA thinks he is a good player all he gets is an award.

if RB thinks he is a good player he will continue to play. that affects liverpool. RB's opinion is more important.

RSP SG

ok, main thing is I think Garcia should play. and you think otherwise.

Enough said. it's going no where.
