Van der Meyde set to join Everton

Inter Milan's Dutch international winger Andy van der Meyde has agreed terms on a £2m move to Everton.

Everton officials flew to Milan after the Champions League clash with Villarreal to thrash out a deal for the talented 25-year-old.

He has fallen out of favour at the San Siro after coming to prominence as a youngster at Ajax.

Van der Meyde wants regular action to ensure he stays in Holland's squad ahead of the World Cup.

Everton boss David Moyes said: "Van der Meyde is coming in for a medical and we will see how it goes."

i think liverpool should buy him.

The man who was death SG

best buy this season could be davids, maybe baros, benayoun good too

stellazio SG

WTF?And liverpool can only go to the press saying how much they need a right winger..Really nato sia.. Laughing

The man who was death SG

actually garcia good at wing what, dun need to buy winger lah

stellazio SG

He loses possesion of the ball too often.. Laughing

Poolman SG

Best buy in a sense , he only cost Everton 2 million pounds .

I can put him in those 5-6 million pounds bracket , or even more .

I was wondering .... whether the agent of this Van Der Meyde actually approach L'pool on this guy's availability ?

This agent should know we need , and badly need a winger of Van Der Meyde calibre ...... it shouldn't be a problem with just 2 million .

stellazio SG

Problem is,why did liverpool just spend time going to the press saying they need a right winger without taking actions...Unless the funds prepared for Mickey Owen has taken up all of the transfer budget.. Laughing

The man who was death SG

Forssell slightly more than 2 mil pounds think he will be a better buy than meyde and davids is free. vassell also 2 mil pounds so more better buys

stellazio SG

Forssell not right winger la..Plus you think chelsea will sell him to pool?

The man who was death SG

i know lah. i'm saying meyde is not the best buy of the season. BTW, forssell already sold to birmingham

Patrik SG

Andy will spoil his career at Everton.

Poolman SG

Don't worry , if not happy , then take a short walk across Stanley Park , I'm sure Anfield is open , and with open arms ! Mr. Green

Båseline SG

I have seen him plying his trade at Inter Milan some time last Season on TV and wasn't too impressed although he performed pretty well in CM la. Talented nevertheless but inconsistent performance from the Dutchman. Can dift out of the game as and when he wants to but can be determined enuff to pull of some great crosses from the right.

Considering the amt of $$ for him.. it's a good buy la. Mr. Green

X-men SG

Ah Ben didnt look beyond Spain Neutral Mr. Green

Redz SG

Ya hor, why Inter so stupid one! Mr. Green

the Bear SG

he didn't really play well there... maybe like Henry with Juve?
