Stevie G set to go

the coach is important. but that does not mean that everywhere he goes he will win the championship.

dragg SG

he already has the UCL medal. if he wants to win the league title he should leave liverpool.

i hate to say this in the liverpool forum. but i feel that liverpool will not win the league title. arsenal, man u and chelsea are just too strong. even spurs is more aggressive than liverpool.

Goondu74 SG

Good riddence! Show me the money!

iveco SG

Spurs? You're kidding me, aren't you? Bolton seem like a tougher nut, despite their smaller budget.

Think the problem lies with that SFX agent .

This SFX company always give problems to clubs .

Fowler also SFX.... Mcnamanan also SFX ......Owen also SFX ..... Beckham also SFX .

The problem lies with this SFX representative , not Stevie Gee .

Don't be surprise tomorrow Stevie come out with a press conference , saying nothing of that sort to leave Anfield .

We shall see .

Without winning the elusive EPL title with his childhood club , Stevie Gee won't leave .

No point leaving LFC and win the EPL Title with say ...... Chelsea , his life will be meaningless .

If I'm Gerrard , Real Madrid are more like the club I'll be going , not Chelsea .

Staying put will be the best option .

Up to him la .

CoolMyth SG

Now I look at football sites. Rafa and Rick Parry come out say no such thing....

My head is spinning.... Laughing

spurs is very active in the transfer market. i am not saying that they will definitely do well next season. but at least they are aggressively trying.

F.raon.I.R SG

liverpool is stupid for not offering a contract stevie G wants…maybe his mentality is since i’ve won the champs league.now that i only lfet the premiership to add to my collection….y not move to another team which potentially can win it like manutd?chelsea?arsenal?haha wat do u think?

dragg SG

i personally think that loyalty to a club is rubbish talk to a player.

no player wants to be remembered for his loyalty.

soccer career is a short one. gerrard probably has only 5 years to realise the dream. can liverpool win the league title within 5 years.

i have serious doubts.

stellazio SG

if liverpool really wants to keep him, they will.just like how mourihno gave terry a brand new contract the moment he came in.terry signed straight away..come on is his demands really so high or liverpool just playing abit hard to get even though they claimed so much that they wana have him for the rest of their lives.. my point is in the modern world,if u wana have the best players be prepared to pay.

dragg SG

i really dont think gerrard is worth 30 million pounds. selling him is a better and more viable option. maybe RB feels the same way.

axlrose22 SG

I think that transfer rumors are rubbish. How could pool possibly let stevie G leave. It's like Henry leaving arsenal or terry/lampard leaving Chelsea.

He himself has reiterated that he wants to stay!

dragg SG

you never know.

a player cannot be more important than a club. is gerrard really that important? they used to say that owen was important too. but liverpool survived without him.

waitrose SG

I think he is just holding the club to ransom. Complaining about the club delaying the talks on his contract is rubbish. Anyway he is the one who delayed the talks. I believe talks began early last season except that he doesn't want to discuss.

He really thinks that Liverpool cannot survive without him. Well, we don't need players like him. I think he needs to look at Carragher and feel ashamed of himself. Carragher was by far the best player last season. Yet he immediately signed an improved contract without hesitation. This is the player we want.

I really hate players who jumped ship just to win trophies, like Owen and maybe Gerrard, especially when they are already in a club who has the potential to win it. They just want it easy by going to another club that more or less guaranteed to win it. These players are losers in my opinion. Imagine LFC fans who decided to support Chelsea just because Liverpool cannot win the title. These are not true Reds fans. They are just glory hunters like Owen. Loyal fans like me go from the glory 80s days to the worst periods and now a better period. We watched Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea win almost everything. But did I ever once think that I may have supported the wrong club? No. I have faith in Liverpool that we can turn it around and be strong again.

So Gerrard, sign it with your heart. Otherwise please do us a favour and ask for a transfer now. At least we still have time to delve into the market and buy some new players.

dragg SG

i dont agree with you.

fans can wait decades for a league title but players like in gerrard's case only have about 5 years left.

dragg SG

latest!!

chelsea bidded 32 million pounds for steven gerrard.

dcx SG

great...can buy 3 aimars' liaoz...

dragg SG

liverpool should sell gerrard.

he is no maradona.

a single player cant win a championship, however inspirational.

dcx SG

32mill.'s alot...juz like selling a Ferrari Enzo can buy you how many 5-rooms flats liaoz......juz sell him....even if one day Lpool tio against Chelsea n the winning goal is scored by SG...so what??? Only one game or two games nia..
It's not as if got Sg then we'll win every match...

Sell lahz...

dragg SG

it is stupid not to sell.

liverpool has to pay Sg 100k pounds per week under a revised contract.

thats around 5.3 million a year.

sellsellsellsellsellsell!!!!!!

www SG

i believe the botteneck lies with the agents, where they can earn fatter commission if the players get transferred.
