In liverpool.tv website ...

Liverpool FC today issued the following press statement regarding Steven Gerrard.
"The club has made it crystal clear we want to keep Steven at Anfield. Sadly, he has told us this afternoon that he will not accept our offer of an improved and extended contract because he wants to leave Liverpool. We very much regret the decision he has taken."

Ok. At least now everything is clear. Now let's see if Rafa is the real deal. With the money, we should be able to buy at least 3 top-class players to fill in those weak areas, like left-back and striker. Good.

sian…everyone is leaving..hai..

hmsg SG

he has not been performing consistently… so for 32 million pounds… it is worth it!

Takumi2eLimit SG

not many out there can play like him.don be too happy yet. Laughing

dragg SG

it is a good news for liverpool.

Sg is not worth 32 million pounds. the money will really come in handy.

waitrose SG

This is good news. It now really depends on Rafa’s skills in identifying and buying players. A team with 3 10 million pound players can beat a team with only 1 30 million pound player. So c’mon Rafa, the fans are behind you and we have faith in you.

a ready made replacement will cost a bomb. Laughing

A footballer's life is short.

SG have a choice to make to optimise his income.

He have won all the medals with Liverpool Football Club.

It is time for him to expose to another foreign league and to smell the bed of roses on the spanish land.

I hope the money that he have contributed to Liverpool Football Club will strengthen the existing team and win the English Premier League title.

It is time for the title to come back to Liverpool.

I wish the best of life for Mr Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool is too small a club to house a SUPER STAR like SG.

old one dont go, new one dont come Cool

At least the saga had come to a close… We get the money from his sale and strengthen the team… Honestly though he is good but i feel that he is not world class yet n lacks consistency. Too much hype. [/img]

YES! Finally!

I think I have enough of his nonsense...

From his performance recently you can see that he is set to leave. Maybe he just love sharing room with Owen Mr. Green

I-like-flings(m) SG

dragg SG

i think they will sell him to RM, not any premiership club.

stellazio SG

u guys know whats most funny.if he ends up leaving liverpool for chelsea,he won’t even get a 100k per week.because mourihno has said that he won’t give anyone wages more den 90k which belongs to frank lampard and john terry..

Poolman SG

In May , I heard Gerrad said : " How can I leave with a night like that ? "

So , taken us for a ride , huh ? Mad

Nevermind la , go la , we can get a better player , eg , Baraja ? Aimar ?

Chelsea or Real Madrid ?

Any club except Chelsea or Man Utd .

Hahaha......Real Madrid will be good for him .

It's Chelsea money or Real's Galaticos !

By the way , what has L'pool done for the past five to six weeks ?

Gerrard were saying " the last five or six weeks changed all that about staying . " So ...... what happened actually ?

1.Could it be for the five or six weeks , Benitez has been doing nothing about new signings that left SG fuming about LFC's ambition ??

2.Could it be Michael Owen wants to leave Real Madrid and come back to LFC and Rick Parry don't want to exercise the original option of getting him back ??

Unsolve mystery ?? Rolling Eyes

he goes to RM better! can join all the ungrateful players there and rotted together. Evil or Very Mad

to think dat he pledged loyality and eat up his own words. these players are greedy!

stellazio SG

i don’t want him.i rather the money be used to get a proper goalmachine.of cuz if its a secondary option den nvm la.mai hiam buay pai..but number 1 priority is a striker.if die die only cany buy one superstar den i say let gerrad go madrid.they probaly need him there more den any other team..time to sing auld lang syne..
