Liverpool's Benitez revives bid for
Valencia star Aimar
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is
reviving his bid for Valencia playmaker Pablo Aimar.
The Sun says Benitez has made Argie midfield superstar Aimar his No
1 summer target. He had an inquiry for the Valencia ace turned down
at Christmas.
But unsettled Aimar, 25, is keen on a switch to the European
champions. the midfielder is disappointed with last season's
campaign which saw him spend a large part of it on the bench.
Valencia president Juan Soler and new sports director Javier
Subirats may seek to cash in on the Argentine to fund a summer bid
for a new, top class striker for coach Quique Sanchez Flores, who
was appointed on Monday.
