Garcia nothing right except the 2nd goal? Shocked Were we watching the same game? Confused I though Garcia was BRILLIANT throughout the game. His vision and creativity caused a lot of problems to the Juventus defence. It was only in the 2nd half when Capello brought on Persotto in a tactical change that Liverpool had trouble going forward.

I thought Baros was disappointing. Le Tallec had a fine game. I will love to see Alonso back alongside Gerrard for the 2nd leg. It will be too soon for Cisse though.

Pity that Carson had to make the mistake. But he did pull off a super save in the 1st half. It will tight in the 2nd leg, but if LFC play the way the did in the 1st half, there is no doubt that they can sneak a goal themselves.

wait a minute... thought it's mentioned juventus to win by 3 goals... which to my limited knowledge means juventus scores 3 goals against Liverpool. Unless I misunderstood what the person trying to say.

with the score line 1-3 means juventus win 3 goals to one... means Liverpool scores ONE goal against Buffon......

whatever the case.... fact is... Liverpool scored 2 great goals against Buffon.

loseagain SG

most of the time, great goals are in fact lucky goals…..................

RSP SG

Cannavaro's goal was'nt great but it sure was lucky. Laughing

A goal is a goal.Fact is Liverpool scored twice against the Old Lady. Very Happy

dragg SG

why do you call buffon the old lady?

gasband SG

thats their nick name as when we call SCUMS for EVERTON. Laughing

RSP SG

Juventus == Old Lady.

Not Buffon! Laughing

Juventus looks good from outside , but inside...... Laughing

Nothing can stop us progressing into the Semi Final......Our defense are too good for Juva.....

It will be easier for us to play at Turin than in England .

As plan , we got a win , we got a goal cushion .

We will expect Juventus to come at us in the second leg . What better time to sneak in a goal against the run of play ? That always happen in football !

If we can contain them in the first half in Turin , then our job is so much easier in the second , 'cos they'll need to push more players forward , which means more space for our players to play around with .

What we need to focus is , very important , DO NOT CONCEDE ANY EARLY GOAL !

If we does so , then our job will be a mountain to climb !

'Cos you know how good Italian defense is when they're playing at home .

Oh yes , I know a bit of footie ! Wink

LazerLordz SG

Gotta watch out for Zlatan.

X-men SG

Next round I fear the worst....

Juventus 1-0 Liverpool

RSP SG

That's possible. It will be tough holding Juve to a scoreless game. Thats why LFC must go there and try to score, nick the away goal.

You gotta have faith! Mr. Green

Poolman SG

[color=red]L'pool must possess the form that played against Bayern Leverkusen at Germany , score first and control the pace of the game , stop them from playing to their rhythm .

Hope to see Hamann back for the 2nd leg , we need someone like him to spoil the Italian's rhythm , he's the best for this sort of sport ! Laughing /color]

kpo SG

haven't seen us play so well in years ...
will be a tough assignment in turin but we have shown once again we can play ...
i think nedved is their key ... we gotta stop him ...

go the mighty reds ...

Gogo Pool! We definitely need to score first and control the game. Don't let Juventus control the play. Wink

I felt that young goalie did a great job.

Personally, if Liverpool should advance to S-final, most properly they will meet chelsea again, which i feel it is a team that the pools should avoid. But too bad...

Medicated Oil SG

If Liverpool can beat Chelsea, it will be a AC Milan vs Liverpool Final.

Liverpool have played more games against Chelsea this season.

With Alonso back and if they are hungry enough, they should be able to beat Chelsea.

Chelsea is replying on their wingers to score goals.

Just stop Lampard and Robben, then they are crippled.

I am a bit worried about AC Milan.

798 SG

It really difficult to beat chelsea, cos Liverpool face them and lose them at majority cup competition, there will be those frightening feelings to face them.

The only thing we can pray is chelsea to lose 2-0 at Bayen Ground. Twisted Evil

loseagain SG

talking about Chelsea and Milan already huh?
like pool's sure to get pass juve............... Laughing

CoolMyth SG

good news!

Stevie G is injured and will not participate in the second leg. Smile

now I pray Chelsea lose 2-0, no way are we going to play them the 4th/5th time this season....

Medicated Oil SG

Put it this way.

I rather Stevie G be fit for this match and not fit if we are meeting chelsea.

This will prevent him from scoring a "chelsea" goal.

I dunno what to say about Liverpool.

For one week, they have it all.

Another week, they lose it all.

I would have lots of stuff to write about Liverpool after every match if I am a reporter.

Alonso is not fit and he need steve to string the passes.

I dunno how long I have to endure so much surprise from injury until the end of the season.

Juventus 1 Liverpool 2
