Saints vs Liverpool

Medicated Oil SG

No one have any expectation for Ah Ben on this match.

The Reds are becoming a fourth and fifth position in the EPL.

Unless Moro can become fit overnight, then we have a goal feast.

But, no point being a one match wonder if the team cannot perform consistently.

I am now worried whether they can survive in the Champion League.

This is the 1st season for the spanish coach and the spanish players to adapt to the EPL.

It is amazing how the Russian can assemble a group of different nationals and make champions out of them in one year.

Now Liverpool can only gun for the 4th position and pray for Everton to slip.

Saints 1 : Liverpool 3

Patrik SG

I see more of a draw than a win for the Reds.

Sibei Sian 2-0 leow. Sad

25 minutes and i dont feel like watching it anymore.

saints 2 liverpool 0

ever since two new players came into the team, liverpool has gone into a slump, especially the defensive area.

that leads to another question which i raised last week: why is pellegrino still playing that vital role?

overall, liverpool players cant even pass well.

ANY team seems to fare better when they are against liverpool.

kops21 SG

The way the games goes. I would love to see Saints 4-0 up by half time. Twisted Evil

www SG

verdict: a disgrace.

liverpool lost the game without a fight. liverpool lost to a bottom club which has forgotten the taste of winning.

and the outcome of experimenting with new defensive combination: have your best defender hyypia injured for working that hard.

btw, morientes' name is on the list, but how come i never see him on the field?

Poolman SG

There's a problem !

Pellegrino : Played 2 , Lost 2 , Conceded 3 .

Nando : Played 2 , Lost 2 , Score 0 .

This is to teach Benitez : Never disrupt a winning formation ! Evil or Very Mad

Why played Pellegrino in place for the in-form pair of Carragher & Hyypia ?

Pellegrino should play at the reserves to adapt to the British games first , then progress to the first team ! He's looking really rare in our British games !

Our defense are not in a serious crisis anyway , right or not ?

And.... please drop Garcia for the time being , he needs some rest !

When is Alonso coming back ?

Poolman SG

Last season when we finished fourth , we lost only 10 games for the whole of last season .

Now it's January , we already lost 9 .

The fourth and final spot is looking dim .

Hope Boro and Everton slips tonight .

Poolman SG

Cool Wow ... little bit heng , Boro 4-2 up , sekali Norwich grapped 2 to equalize inside the injury time , to deny Boro full three points , that does help a bit , as far as LFC is concern !

Also little bit heng , Everton lost at home to Charlton , meaning our lost to Saint's impact is minimum !

Everton don't seem to overcome the lost of Graveson to Real. They are starting to lose ground .

Still , Everton are 7 points ahead of us .

Now , three teams are tied at 37 points , LFC , Boro , and the quietly emerging Charlton .

Today , Everton got nothing , so are we .... Boro has just got one. Laughing

So , next game please !

Medicated Oil SG

There is no joy in our defeat.

Now, there are three teams with 37 points: Reds, Boro and Charlton.

So, Liverpool is not really sitting comfortable.

Ah Ben may have lost his plot in planting Steven tonight.

Steven is sleeping in the first half.

I can guess Steven's intention to give the game away after the FA Cup flop.

The Spanish Army is FLOPPING in the EPL.

They are too used to the Spanish Sun and not used to heavy soccer schedule.

We have already bought a striker, a goal keeper and another useless defender.

What else do we need to buy ????

Boro is pretty strong as a team.

Charlton is the typical hard core English team.

Hope they dun flop again on Tuesday.

That is the only hope for this season.

FA Cup - GONE

EPL title - GONE

European Cup - Dream On

4th Position - Not Possible

UEFA Cup next season - Only Option

Poolman SG

Maybe Ah Ben want the players to reserve their energy for The League Semi Final 2nd leg !! Mr. Green

Maybe ..... Rick Parry has lower his minimum requirement for Ah Ben for the first season - UEFA Cup is enuf liao !

LFC has achieved the minimum requirement , by getting into the League Cup Final , win or lose , LFC are into next season UEFA Cup !

Just maybe !

Maybe Rick parry understands that Benitez's first season as coach , and to achieve that minimum requirement is just too much for Ah Ben , especially he inherited a bunch of useless Senegalese and Frenchmen .

Goondu74 SG

If ah ben’s intention is only Uefa Cup competition, then i think Gerrard will leave in the summer. Liverpool will never be a force again.

Medicated Oil SG

Liverpool is not in the League Cup Final yet.

They still have a second leg on next Tuesday.

So, I dun really want to count the eggs before they are hatched.

As for defeating Liverpool, just look at the videos for the past three games.

You can easily spot the weakness in the REDs team.

Attack - Attack Liverpool on the right as Pelle tends to move forward and slow to react due to his age. Furthermore, Hyppia is injured.

Midfield - Get two players to mark Steven Gerrard and fustrate him to commit foul.

Defence - Tackle hard at Garcia, he tend to lose the ball. Get three men to crowd around the goal mouth as Liverpool dun do any wing play now.

What the present batch of players lacking is character and commitment.

I am not going to beat the REDs down when they are going through a rough patch.

Just hope that the player behind the striker can dig deep and improve his ball skills better.

Or else we may have to get Murphy back from Charlton.

We cannot be losing the supply line to the strikers.

X-men SG

Not a result I wanna see but I seriously think its a result the Reds deserved!

Why? simple English and Spanish just don't mix!

Ah Ben is BIAS! It's should with Josemi... he kept playing him even though he sucks untill he was about to pull Liverpool into the relagation zone then he decides that 'Josimi' have to be rested. Now he kept playing his new spanish loves..... can't he wait? why break up the Carra and Hyyia center defence when they show that they played better together than anyone else. Is Ah Ben blind or what? wait he DID wear his glasses. mayb its the brain thats blind.

Did you guys realise that Garcia can't hold the ball for more than 1 minute?
He either lose it to opponent or shoot it into the hands of the keeper, the fans etc except goal. He is a TOTAL DISGRACE to the no 10 jersey... usless looking like a ah soh with that stupid hair band.

What position is Pellegrino playing center back or center forward?

I thought I was watching Siants vs Malaysia...
Players are not organised... players look damn farking lost. Riise on the right??? hhhhmmm...... thought the GH age is over.

Midfield lost the battle to Jamie Redknapp, a player I truely love to watch but he just got injuried too often else he could have been the best England midfield. Stevie G, he look tired... really tired. Was it his injuries? or he is losing heart. Where's that Stevie G that cover every single inch of the field, made every single tackle on the opponent. Garcia is a joke playing midfield, he should join josemi on the bench.

We lost... cos we dont even play simple football. We lost not to a better team but to a team playing simple football.

Airbus330Captain SG

The performance between both teams were so different. Southampton look more like a team fighting for Champions league and Liverpool fighting for relegation. There was no spirit in Liverpool’s play, passes went astrayed and defence were caught many times and punished twice ! We were luckily not to be 3 or 4 nil down which is possible. Southampton should have a penalty , luckily the referee didnt catch the push from Raven. Morienties must have left his shooting boots in Madrid, he had one decent chance to at least shoot the target but he ballooned way way to high !

Poolman SG

I don't think we should blame Nando ...... cos it's only his second game .

When the supply was cut , the striker suffers , that's what happenend last nite .

We needs a re-shuffling for the line-up.

X-men SG

I still can't believe Liverpool lost to a team who's only winning the 3rd time this season...

and we won only 3 out of 12 away games???? Shocked

Manager433 SG

Aiyo. Before the game started I already know the outcome. Asian handicap Liverpool 'give' 0.5 ball to Saints. Meaning before the game starts, Saints is leading 1-up. Ok, back to the this 0.5 kind of thing.

Many ppl maybe thinking Saints so lousy, sure relegate at the end of this season and Pool so good and strong, sure no problem winning at least a goal or two. If this is the case, Pool should be giving 0.75 to 1 ball mah. So when half an hour to go before the match starts, the odds still Pool -0.5 ball. Mr. Green I 'eat' of course. Ole Ole OLe.

kops21 SG

Ah Ben did the right thing to stick to the new comers, and give them time to gel.

U cant expect everyone to come in and play immediately. some folks need to adapt. Wink

Medicated Oil SG

Garcia join Liverpool from the beginning of the season.

We have 14 games to go.

Not really a good time to test your formation.

If the players are not good enough, plant them in the reserves to wake up.
