Make it the first of the double over the most misfiring team in the league , after last season two disappointing results playing against them . Revenge is the best word .

Should be a Home win , 3-1 !

I would say the second half southampton played well and were the better team although risse striked the crossbar in the second half. but anyways this sets it up nicely for the big match on new year's day against chelsea. Wink Anyways, 3 points for the home team. Laughing 4th place hear we come!! and the stupid everton lost!!!

Redz SG

Whew! A hard-earned 3 pts!

Seems like apart fm Stevie, the whole team was below-par...pre-Chelski syndrome?

Wonder how serious is Finnan's injury...worrying coz we dun hv an able replacement on the rite! Sad

Also read tat Kewell may be missed for 2 mths Confused

frOst^~^nOva SG

we have a replacement for kewell in the form of risse but i'm worried about our right back position. Finnan is injured and josemi sucks. that would be our weak point against chelsea Crying or Very sad

RSP SG

i will say Carragher at right back. Hyppia and Henchoz in the middle.

But RB will prolly settle for Traore instead of Henchoz in the middle.

frOst^~^nOva SG

henchoz appears to be out of favour. Even Diao is ahead of him in the pecking order. Crying or Very sad

RSP SG

yeah, looks like he is on his way out.

hmm mhow abt David Raven? He played Right back in the Carling quarters. Razz

Redz SG

So Finnan is confirmed out of Chelski match?! Sad

If so, it's a safer bet to play Henchoz with Carragher on the rite. Josemi is still injured (*whew* Evil or Very Mad ) ...while playing Diao anywhere will be suicidal.

The youngsters will be too green for such a match...but maybe we haven't got much choice Confused

Poolman SG

So it's confirmed Finnan out ?

Or it's just a tactical gimmick ? Rolling Eyes

If that's the case , no harm playing Henchoz , let him enjoy some big game before leaving . Crying or Very sad

Henchoz can be deploy as right back too....

Carragher , Hyypia , Henchoz and Riise is always my prefered defensive line !

Facts never lies .

We never loses many game when this four play .

We always win Big games when this four played !

What better time for Henchoz to prove Benitez wrong .
