gasband SG TAMADE!!! WHAT A goal from Neil Mellor!!!! I was quite satisfied with a draw but i nearly cried when Mellor shot that goal... what a night...i am so happy...
RSP SG Brilliant.....What a beautiful game it is. Tonight is just a fine example why Im such a soccer freak.
gasband SG Just when I about to lose faith in Liverpool… it showed me why I loved it in the first place… I just cant explain it… I hope they get better and better….
www SG sibei song! SIBEI SONG! left with 10 seconds and the goal came from nowhere. even the commentator screamed aloud, "he has no right to score from there!!" was quite frustrated on kewell's fitness, thinking that it is going to be a draw for sure. mellor was running short of breathe as well. i suppose he was just trying his luck and the ball went screaming in. SONG!
798 SG when you don't expect high hope on liverpool, they performed unexpectly well. I think Arsenal played sucky football today. Well Done! Liverpool!
Poolman SG I will be worry after this win . L'pool don't do well against the next opponent everytime they won a massive game . Hope they carry on the same form against Olympiakos !
Poolman SG Arsenal scored with their only attempt on goal , so does Mellor , he scored with his only attempt at goal ! This will be Mellor turning point of his career , and ..... goodbye to Kewell . He's going nowhere with this sort of performance .
RSP SG came thru the ranks of the academy. Son of the famous Ian Mellor. Scores lots of goals at reserves level but just cant seem to score on the senior stage. But this season is proving to be his make or break season at Anfield. He has responded well. Twice already has he won games for liverpool. His double against Boro in the Carling cup and today's cracking last minute winner against Arsenal.Have we unvealed a new local hero?We shall wait and see.
kopiosatu SG Any my Arsenal supporting friend just made a comment before that... "What kind of name is Mellor???" GOAL~~~~~~~~
kopiosatu SG and in response to kewell's performance... how can you expect a 50 million pound performance from a 5 million pound player??? anyway, he played VERY badly... we were all laughing at the way he lost the ball, comparing him to the last time when he was at Leeds! Then my Arsenal friend said "There was once he had a choice to go to Liverpool or Arsenal"... I told him, he should have gone to Arsenal.
X-men SG It worth every seconds of me lossing my precious seconds of my sleep and stayed awake to watch the game till the 92min + the Final Score report. Liverpool start so brightly.... cutting the supply from midfield... great tactics from Ah Ben to play 4-5-1. Look at the half time stats... ZERO goal, ZERO corners, ZERO shots on target, ZERO shots off target... all ZEROs for Arsenal which means they dont even come close in scoring and Kirkland has nothing much to do in the first half. We look so good without Josemi and Garcia or was it the return of our wonder stevie wonder captain. Great movment to create the goal.. Mellor was smart to draw draw Campbell with him and created the open space for Alonso to score. Overall I think Mellor has a good game. Being the lone striker up front... endless runnings.. he should have done better with the strike on the cross bar, if it went in it should have stand cos he is NOT offside. He deserved to score the winner, a half chance.. and he made it count. Only player which I felt looks not as good is Kewell. He look like he lost the touch for football, lost the fitness. Second half he is catching his breathe. Blasting 2 good chances into the stands when he should have done better with better crosses from the left in the second half. From soccernet : "Vieira then went down with Hamann not even having made contact - an act worthy of a booking, and thus a sending-off, but he escaped." I can't believe player like him have to use such dirty tricks. He should have been sent off Arsenal should play in the English Diving League. Why do they have to use such dirty means to win?? We beat Arsenal... and we did it unlike how Man U did it. (Man U played rough... and all most took out Reyes's legs) we made Reyes look useless till he have to be taken off. Hope this will be the turning point for the Reds
CoolMyth SG MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! MELLOR! *Dies* With all the injuries to form a basketball team, this is the luck that Liverpool needs. Haven't screamed and shouted and felt so happy for a long time....Stevie G is the MAN! This is why we need him around, he basically controlled the match, particularly in the first half.
Inzaghi SG thumbs up…....wat a fantastic strike!!!!!!!..when the ball left his boot, i knew its screaming in liao..moreover, lehmen was caught in surprise, bit off position…
