Poolman SG Date : 24th October 2004 Day : Sunday morning Time : 0015hr Venue : Anfield TV : Live ! MAXTV ESPN CH-23 Player to watch : Danny Murphy Have a eerie feeling Danny Murphy will spoil our night .
RSP SG Liverpool to win this for sure. 3-1 Charlton has been poor away from home.Liverpool will be eager to get a right result after the midweek disappointment of not beating Deportivo. Look out for Rommedahl and Murphy.Kevin Lisbie will be a thorn as well.
Poolman SG Lisbie is one of those few players in Liverpool's entire history to have scored a hattrick against us , so I shall not under-estimate their capabilities . Watching them played against Newcastle last Sunday almost confirmed my opinion about them , so dun play play ! On a more positive note , we're almost invincible at home !
Redz SG Shd be a home-WIN!!! Murphy will rec a warm reception...but I'm quite confident of ourselves, esp. the home form
Medicated Oil SG Draw. Charlton can comeback during the second half as illustrated with the Newcastle match. Taking into consideration that Ah Ben is playing DIAO in midfield to rest Alonso, I expect a first half goal by Charlton. Liverpool is having a striker patch now. Dun expect the same kind of performance like Fulham as they have CL match next week.
RSP SG How do you know Benitez is playing Diao instead of Alonso? I seriously doubt that will happen after that nightmare performance at Fulham. Charlton at the Valley and on the roads are 2 exact total opposite teams. They are terrible away from home.On the other hand, Liverpool are strong at home. They've played well at Anfield since day 1.
Poolman SG I would rather play Biscan than Diao ! I thought it will be fair to play Biscan after that eye-for-goal effort against Fulham ! We need more scoring midfielders .
UnLeAsH_cHa0s SG hmmm.... i would like 2 c this lineup... Kirkland Finnan, Hyypia, Carragher, Riise Luis Garcia (free role plz!!!), Hamann, Alonso/ Biscan, Warnock/ Kewell (both equally weak lolz) Cisse and Baros
RSP SG Knowing Benitez,Probable line up tmr. Kirkland Traore,Carragher,Hyppia,Josemi Kewell,Alonso,Hamann,Garcia Baros,Cisse
Redz SG Yeh, I think this line-up is quite likely...dun really wish to see any "surprises" fm Beni. We've got to win this one to keep our momentum going!!!
RSP SG Yeah, the only surprise might be Finnan for Josemi at right back. Since the spaniard will be suspended soon,it's not a bad idea to let Finnan have a run of games at right back. Besides,I haven been totally impressed by Josemi.
Poolman SG Murphy is consistent there at The Valley , just that the whole team seemed to be off-form , not doing too well ! Murphy still has that wonderful touch and vision ! L'Pool missed his vision , and some slick passings . I thought Benitez released him too soon . L'pool are struggling now because the link-up play between the middle and the front players doesn't click , we in need of a old bird to stablize that link in between ! Murphy and SG is the one , now what ? I believe if Murphy has choose to stay ay Anfield , Cisse and Murphy are going to link very well .' Too bad !
www SG i am beginning to enjoy watching how liverpool players performing up to their wages. their attitudes seem so right lately. in today's match, almost all liverpool's first eleven are outstanding, particularly traore, hyypia and carragher. for traore, i very much believe that he is handed with much confidence so much so that his performances are especially stunning lately. though the overall impression from the current team still lack of some stings, it is a pleasure to watch them fight for every ball.
kops21 SG It was an entertaining game. Lots of attacking from Liverpool, but no goal in the first half. Second half, sleep leow lah..... Read the report, it seems to be as exciting as the first half.... Anfield looks formidable this season. You'll Never Walk Alone
