L'Pool January first signing ?

Poolman SG

Barry Ferguson ?

Benitez interested in this Scottish Int'l ?

Do we really need another midfielder in Ferguson ?

Redz SG

Dun think so.

Shd be a Spaniard or someone fm Valencia - Mista, Ayala, Vicente, Aimar....n the dream goes on.

X-men SG

Can we have England players?

Like Real Liverpool liao

RSP SG

I don't think Benitez will move for Barry Ferguson. It's just all tabloid tales. Barry has'nt even settled well in to English football.

More likely coup will be a new striker from Spain.Mista?Morientes? Bigger name signings like Vicente,Ayala may come only after the season ends.Don't think Valencia will allow them to leave midway through a season.

Båseline SG

It's quite clear we need another pure right winger who can run at defence and supplies useful crosses for our taget man Cisse. Kewell is doing too much and Finnan is well.... plays quite conservative still despite hie decent showings.

As much I appreciate Spanish's technical skill and flair... I would like to see some english/scottish bite in the midfield.

kops21 SG

I won't be suprised it will be an Spanish...Like Wenger bring in few of his French countrymen.

Sometime it is not what we buy, what what we sell/release that makes a different... Idea

extremex SG

i think it will be a spanish as well... heee Twisted Evil

Redz SG

Well, Morientes has juz dropped his hints...it cld happened as early as January05 Smile

The other player on my wish list is Malbranque...one who can jingle n make killer-passes! Also, he mentioned having played with Cisse at U21-lvl. I hope Beni is impressed with his display last nite...esp. the 1st-H.

RSP SG

I'll love to see Duff at Anfield too.

He is a very good player, capable of opening up defences with his runs down the wings and passes through the defence.

Unlikely that Chelsea will allow him to leave though, since he seems to be figuring regularly in the manager's plans of late.

Poolman SG

Right winger ?

You all forgotten ?

We still have the currently injured , the untested Antonio Nenez on the wings !

Poolman SG

I do not know whether you guys agree with me or not , we badly need a centre forward in those Emile Heskey's mode !

Those who can hold ball in the middle of the park , and post a aerial threat in the penalty box type of CF !

I would like to say this to Benitez : " Get Morientes , he could be an impact in the Premiership ! "

He made it at Real , well almost ..... and succeed at France , now let's show us , he can be a Kop Hero !

Sorry to Milan B, Djilbril C and Luis G , we just doesn't have a capable enuf forward , who can potentially possess a threat inside the box !

We need Mori E, the man !

Poolman SG

The one and only obstacle in L'Pool's bid for Morientes , he's UCL Cup-tie !

If we get him , he can't play for us in the UCL for this current season !

RSP SG

It does'nt matter!Think Long term.

I'll be thankful if he fits in nicely into the team and start scoring goals.Nvm that he is cup tied.We still have the domestics honours to challenge for!

Besides, the transfer fee shd be lower since he will be cup tied!

Goondu74 SG

Mista!!!!! I think its either him or Morientes. And probably another Center Back, Ayala?

Goondu74 SG

But pls pls pls get rid of thrash like Diao!!!!!!! really cannot make it, nearly died from choking on my own vomit when he played against Fulham last night.

hOmEz SG

yeah.. diao really sucks big time....

Really hope for a centre back though....

I believe he also could be on the way to Anfield !

He recently declined an extension to his current Valencia's contract !

Maybe Benitez is just waiting by the wings ! Once available , snap him up !

frOst^~^nOva SG

think morientes would be pool's first signing in january. Very Happy

Redz SG

Yes, the signs are positive for Mista...left out of CL games too; pre-contract agreement liao?!

Also, if Valencia dun sell him in Jan, then he'll go for free next summer.

Redz SG

Both Duff and Malbranque are versatile players...besides, they're both proven qualities in EPL.

So it's good to have them if we can afford to.
